3. Redeem referral points for products or cash back

Referral vs. Regular DX points

Referral DX points are the same as regular DX points earned by purchases, but are collected differently. When you make purchases yourself, DX points are assigned at a rate of 1 point per every $10 spent (including all shipping charges). Referral points work similarly, but do not round off at every $10. When your referred customer completes an order, both of you will receive DX points. The customer receives DX points based on the normal rate, and you - the referrer, gets the amount of DX points equivalent to the order total times your affiliation level's dx points rate.

As an example, assume Mary - who you referred, spent a total of $32.69 on merchandises and shipping fees and you are on our Standard affiliation program level (thus 10% DX rate). While Mary gets 3 DX points as usual, you the referrer will get 3.27 DX points. Notice how you also get the decimal points for each referral's purchase. Without these extra points, small orders would be meaningless to you as the referrer.

Note that refunds sent to referred orders will also cause corresponding points to be reversed.

How do I get commission?

Since referral points are the same as regular DX points, you can use them for all sorts of things like free express shipping upgrades, redeem them for free products and get cash back for the points. Cash back is sent via PayPal. DX points earned are subject to a minimum limit of 60 days, to allow for refunds and any such issues. After the specified period, the DX points can be used to apply for cash back at a rate of 1$ per 10 DX points (i.e 10 points = 1$ cash). You can apply for cash back with as little as 10 points in your account.

Cash back equivalent values

DX points can be used for free Express shipping upgrades and to redeem for products. As an affiliate, you would probably be the most interested in the cash back reward programs for the DX points. Here is the table for cash back values:

Commission rates seem low?

If you own a decent blog, forum, or even a website you can easily earn hundreds of dollars a day by posting some of our best sellers. Tip: begin looking on such places that generate a lot of views/replies like FatWallet.com and SlickDeals.net.

Don't be fooled by others who offer 5%, 10%, 20% or even more. Commission is zero when their products don't sell. We can hike our prices and offer a 50% commission rate but it makes no sense to do that. We want to offer good service and products at reasonable prices and at the same time reward you for referring us to others who will also find our offers cool.

In addition - to keep things simple, like regular DX points, all shipping fees are also included in calculating the referral DX points. Other sites normally exclude any shipping charges from commissions.

The starter program is there just to get you warmed up as you can easily move up to the standard level.

The Fineprints

Whatever you do - please do not try to earn commission at community sites like FatWallet.com. These are good sites to research on what products to post on your own website/blog/forum, not to be used as a tool to make money.

Also, we do not allow self- or fradulent referrals. Please do not abuse the program as it will not benefit anyone and everyone will lose out in the end.
