Pros: - Many buttons, so everything is possible
- Good disposition of buttons, so you can use with many softwares
- The hardware learns what to do, so you don't need to run a software on boot to use it, and the programming persists on all computers you use it
- It's a HID (Human Interface Device), so it's very likely it'll never be obsolete, so it...
- Works with vista without any drivers
- Can control the mouse
- Can have 4 different layouts (each button can do 4 different commands)

Cons: - Very weak signal, you must point the remote to the receiver for it to work properly
- Many chinese characters, even when text is unnecessary (like the play button)

Other Thoughts: Too bad it ran out of stock, this is an awesome control

Bottomline: I bought this as a try, and it surprised me, it's a must for a home computer so you can remote control your movies, music and everything

Pros: This remote is probably the best PC remote on dealextreme. Every button is re programmable using the software on the disc (wich is sadly in chinese but i have found it in english so if dealextreme want's it, you have my e-mail because i dont remember where i got it.) example: if the power button is CTRL+C then you can change it to CTRL+ALT+D or anything. One button activates the mouse function wich lets you control your mouse with the remote. It works on 2 AAA so it's easy to change the batteries. The receiver has a long enough cord and has a led to tell when it receives your signal. The signal is strong and works from 30+ feet. No need for any driver because windows and linux (probably macs too) detect it as a human interface device (hid) wich auto installs... It's almost perfect

Cons: Just three language cons:
- The remote has Chinese(mandarin?) written on it so it's sometimes hard to know which button is which...
- The manual is only in Chinese (you don't really need it but... I would be glad to send pictures of every page to somebody who would translate it.)
- The programming software included in the cd is only in Chinese. (solved by the english version I found...) and only works on windows.

Other Thoughts: There is a lot of pirated software on the disc so... maybe windows users you can have fun trying it.

Bottomline: If you need a remote to use your pc as a media center or just to control it, this is the one you should buy.
