Pros: The best card out there if you still have a GBA.Works great, has a huge amount of space with the right SD card, especially when compared to the other cards out there.
Cons: -Does not support SDHC = (Maximum capacity of 2gb card)-Must upgrade firmware, although very simple. -Very Pricey for DX.
Other Thoughts: Great card, allows me to take all of games on the road with me. Homebrew applications are fun, and can really help. (Think Calculators, Picture/Music players, and video players)
Bottomline: If you have a GBA, this is the one to get. Works great, does everything I need it to. Lack of SDHC means you can't load it with videos, but because the low res screen, movies are only 200mb anyways.
Pros: Works with my gameboy without any other hardware. Also works just as good in my nintendo ds lite. Starts up fast and easy enough for my kids to use. Seems to be sturdy enought to last for years.
Cons: Well it would be nice if it could save the games automaticaly but even my 5 year old is able to do it on her own. Had to update the firmware right away but it was no big deal. It could be a little cheaper. It has a kind of plain looking menu.
Other Thoughts:
Bottomline: I think I will buy another one of these if they ever go down in price. I think it is the best slot 2 device out there for the gameboy.
Pros: Works great, once I updated the firmware.
Cons: Would not work until I updated the firmware.
Other Thoughts: No instructions or software was included in my package. After finding the software online at the manufacturer's website I was able to use their conversion utility on my .gba files. Once I loaded my 2GB SD card with several titles all I got was a solid white screen. I found that there was updated firmware available. After flashing everything worked just fine.
Bottomline: This one isn't plug and play. If you're savvy enough to figure out all the hoops required to get this thing going then it's well worth the price. Everything needed can be found at http://eng.supercard.cn/manual/sd.htm - Good luck!
Pros: Good price. Bought this over a year ago and the price is still comparable. Accepts a majority of ROMs that I've thrown at the device. Accepts standard SDs which means if you have an adapter, you can use those old Mini and Micro SD cards you have laying around. Good build, doesn't feel cheap.
Cons: You need to patch the roms. I guess I'm used to my R4 and just dragging and dropping files. I also get errors with some ROMs that I know are good because my modified XBOX plays them. Some games like Mario Kart Super Circuit and Metroid Fusion get a lot of lag with this card and I'm not sure why. The size of the card is quite bulky when used with a DS Lite.
Other Thoughts: I wouldn't recommend this to play DS games but for the price its perfect for GBA games. I have no regrets with this card.
Bottomline: Get it for GBA games but for DS games there are better choices.
