Pros: works much better than i thought! The shock is really quite strong so im really happy with it :).these are actually much more cheaper than the regular ones (with no shock) sold at Kiosks in my country :D
Cons: only con is that you have to take apart the laser to put in new batteries(i tried putting them in the back the batteries wouldn't fit (too fat) not even one) Maeby thats som e sort of new model but its not really a con.
Other Thoughts: you could put in a peace of paper that would describe how to change the batteries, but its not hard to figure out.
Bottomline: Really worth it if you are looking for a practical joke :)
Pros: Can be used as a normal laser pointer as well as a practical joke.the laser is actually quite decent and usefull for presentations.good battery life. bought it in March and it still works fine (mosly only using the laser)
Cons: things like this are getting more common and when they see the 2 buttons they get suspisious. If you want to shock people they have to hold the back of the device. (the center does not conduct electricity) It means that even if they try bth buttons, it's succes rate is only around 80% or so.
Other Thoughts: I got a blue one i think it looks better than the grey/silver.don't forget what the laser button is during a presentation ^^
Bottomline: it's fun.when you want a laser pointer why not get this so you can shock some people as well.
Pros: Its a great product to buy and play around with. It has a really good shock function and is just an overall funny thing to show people. Incredibly fast shipping less than a week! Thanks DX!
Cons: unfortunately mine barely lasted a day. I did play around with it a lot though. after a while the laser began dimming until it was barely visible at night. same went with the shock. it became less and less powerful until it became pretty much a tingle. Then when I tried to replace the battery I started taking it apart and while I was unscrewing the bottom, the threading caught onto a small copper wire from the capacitor and pretty much shredded it up. rendering the unit, for the time being until I can muster up the willpower to fix it, useless.
Other Thoughts: Even though I didn't have the best experience with this thing, I've always wanted a shocker device when I was a kid and I finally got one. And even though it died, it was so worth the $2.
Bottomline: If you took the time to read this, you probably have nothing better to do, so just hurry up and get it. :) Have fun!
Pros: Basically the laser works extremely well, and very bright for such a cheap price. The shocker itself is pretty cool, because it gives a different level of shock depending on how you hold it (the contact with the metal parts). The design itself is pretty cool, because it has 2 buttons, one for the laser which is the second button, and the first being the shocker. Not many would suspect that the laser itself is a shocker because it works, so you'll be able to catch your friends off-guard.Build quality wise, it's so-so, but definitely able to withstand some drops and still function well.Battery is relatively easy to change, much easier than the shocker pen as it has a compartment. Requires basic DIY disassembly skills though. It was no problem for me as I enjoyed taking apart stuff/gadgets.
Cons: Requires some decent "take-apart" skills to open up the battery compartment which contains the battery as well as the shocker and laser module. The rubber insulator around the wire (for mine, it's green) actually wore off after I kept opening and closing the metal cap (with the keychain) due to the rough inner side of the metal cap. The wires were exposed and conduction for the shocker didn't work (and it's only day 1 of receiving the product).I fixed it by getting some sticky tape on the damaged part to offer the insulator, and prayed hard. Luckily, it worked. That's why the build quality for the shocker unit's wires aren't that good, but it shouldn't be of much problems to those who doesn't take it apart frequently.
Other Thoughts: The rubber/plastic insulator for the wires should be improved and the inside of the metal cap (the one where you screw/turn it in for the spring) shouldn't be so rough because it'd cut up the insulator causing the wires to be exposed. And as with any shocker gags that requires you to change batteries that are those button-cells.. I recommend buying another one instead, because it costs cheaper than getting new batteries.Oh yeah, the shock you get differs a lot depending on how you hold the laser, as well as how many times you attempt to shock yourself. I tried shocking myself 10 times in a row on my right hand, and the shock got relatively weaker and weaker until I felt almost nothing. I switched hands, and got a decent shock on the left hands. It's not the build quality or batteries, but rather sometimes it's us.
Bottomline: Decent laser, good shocker gag decent build quality for the price.
