Pros: comes with everything you need to do a full replacement including adhesive for the upper screen and blue frames.
Cons: time consuming and you have to be really careful and know what you're doing. the touch screen white frame doesn't come off easily so it is possible to damage your touch screen if you try to replace the white frame with the blue frame. if you're going this route then i suggest you spend a couple bucks and get a replacement touch screen just in case.
Other Thoughts: My only other suggestion would be to be really careful when handling the upper screen because there is nothing more frustrating than getting it back together and finding a fingerprint on the wrong side of the screen.
Bottomline: if you want a cool replacement case for your nds, then get this, take your time and do it right.
Pros: I bought this shell to replace the old one on my DS which had (surprise) a broken hinge. The replacement shell looks awesome and came with blue bezels for the screens (apparently the old DX ones came with white ones). My DS now is as good as new, if not better.
Cons: The replacement D-pad felt kind of awkward to use compared to the old one. I wound up taking it out and putting the old one back in.
Other Thoughts: There are a lot of small parts involved in a shell replacement and it requires patience. Do some research before doing this - there are some good tutorials on the net.
Bottomline: As far as replacement shells go, I doubt there are better ones available than this. If you've got a broken DS hinge and feel comfortable dealing with small electronics (or know someone one who is and is willing to do it for you), what have you got to lose?
Pros: Full case replacement, even they give the rubber thing for enclose the screw.Its perfectly fit my DS Lite.Even they give screws and the springs for L & R button!And also the upper screen and the bottom screen border, oh what a deal!
Cons: The Y button is a bit misprinted.Besides then that, none! Its perfect!
Other Thoughts: I guess they could put some instructions to open the DS,Well, we always have the internet though.
Bottomline: If you having a broken hinge, or just plain bored of your DS color, you can choose this one!
Pros: My sons DS is just looking awsome now with the new "Translucent Blue" case.All parts are indeed included except for the power/charge LED cover. This I took from the orignal DS case.
Cons: The included screws are indeed not the best qulity and you should use your original screws. Also the wholes for the screws in this case are quite small which resulted in a stripped screwdriver and a stripped screw.
Other Thoughts: The screen replacement edging is white. Which I think is not a real con. It kindy look cool with that white edge.
Bottomline: It is realy hard to rebuild the DS and hold the shoulder buttons in place.But when all fits well it does look cool.
