For us Sony PSP and digital camera users, this is a must-have gadget. Get this usb drive and lose that MS duo gum adapter.6/6/2006 Staff wrote:We tested the SD/MMS/XD/MS/DUO adapter with a 2GB Pro Duo and we experienced some difficulties in removing the Pro Duo from the adapter. The Pro Duo is a little too short for the adapter, so you will need your fingernail in taking out the Duo after usage.6/27/2006 Chris wrote:I found out that your card reader does NOT handle a Patriot 2GB 130x and higher cards, but ONLY 1GB and lower. I gave mine away to friends because I only have fast 2GB and higher cards, and I bought a replacement SD reader from Office Depot that does work on the larger fast cards.
Pros: Its very easy to use, its plug and play so you don't need to install anything to use it. Works in any USB ports and makes life much easier for those who does not have SD entrance (slot) on the PC or Laptop. It's also very consistent on the velocity of reading and writing.
Cons: It looks a bit fragile but it works fine until now so i really don't think it can be considered a big deal.
Other Thoughts: Its a very good idea to buy more than one so you always be sure to have one at hand when you need to use outside your home.
Bottomline: Mine have been a bit abused by falling on the ground and even stepped :S but its still working fine as it suppouse to. So if you need you should buy. I definely recomend.
Pros: Simply excellent. Fast and unexpensive. Works perfectly with SDHC with 4GB for example. Card fits perfectly, no chance for bad contact. Cap covers are very good to protect against dust and other things.
Cons: sad it doesn't read Flash card as well but no big deal (and other model out there). The built quality is ordinary (plain plastic) but as I take good care of my thing, I'm sure it will last a long time.
Bottomline: Don't hesitate. If you need to read and write on SD/SDHC cards only, this it the deal!! Very cheap and fast free shipping from Deal Extreme: YOU'RE THE BEST !
Pros: It's a nice SD Card reader, and works fine for me. The best thing about this is the price! Believe, if you want to read this kind of memory card directly to USB, it's a good gadget.
Cons: This card adapter don't have a excellent build quality... Even front and back adapter is little hard to pull for connecting to an USB and the card for read. Maybe it could be more easly to take it off.
Other Thoughts: Once I brought it to read my Memory Stick Pro Duo that I use on a PSP, but IT DOESEN'T READ!!! If you want a card reader for your PSP Memory Stick Pro Duo, buy anther card reader! (Or use and MS Pro Duo to SD adaper to use on it....)
Bottomline: As I said, it's a good SD card reader and works fine, until now I have no problems using it. If you're looking for a nice and cheap SD card reader, that's the best choice!
Pros: The reader feels good quality. Nice plastic and doesn't look all that bad. Its a nice colour and fits the SD card nicely. Could easily double for a USB memory stick.
Cons: It doesn't work. Well at least for my Verbatim 2Gb card. This could be a problem with the card reader, or it just isn't compatible. Also, the reader is a little wide, but i guess that would have to be like that to fit the SD card
Other Thoughts: I would check it with my other card, but I don't have access to it yet. Also, its incredibly cheap.
Bottomline: Great cheap card reader, but bear in mind it didnt work with my card. So if ur unsure, just geddit anyway...
