Pros: I receive the av/converter with the same packaging as the photos in the webpage, I made some copies of my old vhs's tape, the max resolution it's 640x480, nice for websites.
I installed it at a Dell notebook d620 (WinXP) and work perfectlly.
Cons: The manual it's small ; the resolution could be better, but enough for the price.
The converter isn't compatible with other OS , just Windows.
Other Thoughts: May be the resolution could be better with another software, I have to try it
Bottomline: nice product, good realtion quality-price
Great for capturing video games

Pros: It's fairly easy to setup and use and takes pretty decent quality captures. I hooked it up to my wii and I was able to play the wii on my laptop without any lag whatsoever. The sound was good and came out clear. The actual casing of the easycap feels like really good quality plastic.
Used the software that came with it which was ulead video studio ce 10 while you may want to go another route for merely watching video or playing a game on the wii for recording it's quite easy and makes it into mpeg2 format.
Cons: I was meant to use it to play video games on it, but the ulead software that came with the easycap doesn't have sound, so i have to use some other program, something media player classic works great.
Bottomline: Buy it if you need to reacord a video game or you want to play video games on the computer screen.
Decent value.

Pros: - Easy to set up
- Cheap
- Portable
Cons: - Windows XP SP3 wants to install driver every time you plug it in. I get around this by having 8 USB ports and never unplugging it.
- There's a consistent line at the bottom of the video. May be an artifact of the camera though.
- Default AVI encoding is horribly interlaced.
Other Thoughts: It did a decent job of converting the Hi-8 videotapes we recorded of the kids at Christmas. I'm sure there's better recording software out there, but this does the job.
Bottomline: Good deal if you have a bunch of videotapes you want to convert to digital inexpensively.
Decent value.
