Ownership verified by DX Best laser on DX

Involvement: Expert (understands the inner workings) - Ownership: more than 1 month

Price: starstarstarstarstar
Ease of Use: starstarstar
Build Quality: starstarstarstar
Usefulness: starstarstarstar
Overall Rating: starstarstarstarstar

Pros: Burns whatever is black.
Very very long range laser. About 200 meters, maybe more!!
Visible beam in daylight half-shadowed places.
No problem with border & shipment

Cons: Focusing method is not so good
You need some special glasses if you want to look directly at the beam.
No simple way to attach this laser to a tripd. With a tripod and a magnifing glass this could make a some nice focusing.
Doesn't light my sigarettes and pipes.
Specification on website should say up-to 200mW.
Pretty dangerous.
Gotta find where they sell black-headed matches.
MAKES YOU WANT TO HAVE MORE mW!

Other Thoughts: I bought the rechargeable batteries with this laser and they were not completely recharged.
After I recharged the batteries, it worked very well.

Bottomline: Ordering more :-)
Guess this is the best laser to buy on DX, in comparison to the price. Other lasers have much higher prices.

Pros: Extremely cheap for a laser at this power
Decent build quality
Focusable
Perfect choice for a laser enthusiast's first cheap burner

Cons: Decent batteries may be hard to find
Focus head is a bit loose
Threads are a bit squeaky

Other Thoughts: I have had several of these lasers (often referred to as the Dilda because of the shape) and they are a must have for any laser enthusiast. The price was good before, and now it is extraordinarily low and unbeatable.
A direct hit or even a weak reflection from this laser will almost certainly cause permanent eye damage. USE LASER GOGGLES!

Bottomline: Great laser for the price, if you want a burner as cheap as they get, buy this.

Pros: I received sku.11315 today and did extensive testing. Yes, it punches holes through a black CD case, burns matches instantly, and cuts black tape. Of course, you have to focus it first. Focus head is kinda loose but it works. I also have sku.25493 which has a better build quality and better focusing head. However, sku.11315 is easier to carry in my pocket. Seems like both sku.25493 and sku.11315 have about the same performance. I also ordered sku.2031 CR2 battery charger and sku.932 rechargeable CR2 batteries from DX. Beam is visible in the dark and the spot is very bright.

Cons: Focusing head could be better.

Other Thoughts: Is there any 400mW version of this?

Bottomline: Nice laser. Nice to have it.

Ownership verified by DX Great laser!

Pros: Burns dark coloured things!(no offence intended) The dot is very bright. Somewhat visible beam(a bit in the day, more visible at night). Shines VERY far(could see beam from 1km away!). Small, compact, fits in your pocket! Has an on/off switch so you don't have to keep holding a button down. Comes with a wrist strap(so you don't drop it) Lasts about 1 hour when fully charged(i use sku. 932 and sku. 2031). Batteries fit nicely.

Cons: The focus is a bit loose so it might move a bit. The switch feels a bit cheap.

Other Thoughts: I was able to:
1.Light matches
2.Melt through electrical tape
3.Pop balloons
4.Burn my TV remote
5.Shut off street lights(very fun)
6.Burn toilet paper(no use of marking for darker colour so it was left coloured white)
When i unscrewed the focus all the way, a very thing spring was holding the focus so it wouldnt move a lot. If you have maybe a stronger spring, you could use that instead.

Bottomline: If you want a nice, decent high-powered laser, then get this! another great deal from DX!
