Pros: Soaks up water, and I suppose it releases it when it needs itI suggest to use it only in a vase, not with potting soil
Cons: Need to soak it for a few hours to grow fully in sizeIn you put it in soil, or even on top of soil how do you resoak them to make them big again?Expected them to be bigger

Bottomline: Soaks up water, and I suppose it releases it when it needs itI suggest to use it only in a vase, not with potting soilNeed to soak it for a few hours to grow fully in sizeIn you put it in soil, or even on top of soil how do you resoak them to make them big again?Expected them to be bigger
Pros: Good value, 5 separate colours (blue, transparent, yellow, red and green), well packed in individual heat sealed bags, holds colour well when soaked, holds water for a long time.
Cons: Bad English on the packaging. Use these reviews to learn how to use the product.
Other Thoughts: Makes about 7-8 dl per packet. Place in a bowl and ad a litre or more of water per pack. It takes about 4 hours till they have grown to their full size. Then you remove excess water, just as with pasta. Most plants won't grow in these instead of water, that is generally a misunderstanding. Search the internet for those plants that will grow in this. Use this to mix in with (real) soil to reduce the need to water the plant so often. When the soil dries, these will release water, and then absorb again when watered. You can also use these as decoration as most do, to hold candles, etc.
Bottomline: These will impress friends and family, very beautiful decoration. They will want their own! Buy as gifts.
Pros: good decoration, very easy to use just need to soak them in water over night n they next day they will triple in size. when soaking the balls add a little fertilizer in the water, very helpful for the plants. comes in many different colour adds a lot of colour to your home. this product is very affordable. i actually bought this in a before i came upon it on dealextreme n paid a lot more n got a lot less
Cons: doesnt really hold heavy plants in place. needs to be resoaked in a month or so depending on where u put it n how warm your home is
Other Thoughts: for heavy plants you can add some rocks at the bottom n mix it with the nutrient crystal balls to prevent your plant from falling over
Bottomline: great product very affordable come in various colours
Pros: This thing absorbs water and expand as claimed. After 12 hours it is about 100 times bigger than the dry beads. The 5 colours are in separate bags so you can mix/choose the colours as you like
Cons: The English on the bag is really not understandable. Fortunately one of the bags contain also Chinese description, which I can read with no problems.
Other Thoughts: Really don't know if this "soil" is a good substitute to real soil. Probably it is good for those "water-based" plants. But for the ones that prefers dryer soil, this probably will make the roots rot.
Bottomline: I have a crystal vase with nothing to fill so I get these to fill it.
