Pros: I have owned my scale since November 2007, and it has not let me down once. Not only that, its still using the same batteries since install. Ive used it in my kitchen as its great for weighing out spices and the like. Ive used it for precise measurements for my jewelery designs,as anyone that has worked with gold or fine silver knows how careful you have to be when your working with precious metals. And my two younger sons have even used this scale to share out candy so that everybody gets equal shares.
Cons: Not a one.Absolutely nothing I can think of.
Other Thoughts: Its got a funky backlight, my toddler likes to weigh his lego bits just to see the light. So it also doubles as entertainment for the little ones.
Bottomline: Get one, its great.Even if its just to keep the kids amused. Its fabulous in the kitchen. Its great in my design room. And its stopped many arguments about who has the biggest piece of chocolate fudge.
Pros: Good sizeNice little screen with blue backlitCan measure to 0.1gComes with a pouch
Cons: Maybe feels a bit light/cheapUses AAA batteries.
Other Thoughts: Overall a very nice little package. I was expecting much worse so Im very happy with it. Not too sure how accurate it is so far. Did a couple measurements and it seemed ok - will need to test it more.
Bottomline: Definitely recommend to anyone look for a portable digital scale. Im thinking of buying a couple more to leave around, Comes in handy as sometimes I need to weigh light objects.
Pros: Small size, back-lit screen (huge plus in my dark low-energy house), seems accurate, fast boot-up, steady measurement in seconds. Uses AAA batteries = easy to find, rather than button cells.
Cons: not really a con: I was expecting .01 grams, or at least .05 gram accuracy, but .1 grams is okay. (I read .01 oz, my bad, )
Other Thoughts: Although I don't have a good way to test other than using measured water (ml=grams) it seems reasonably accurate. Great for calculating value on minted/bullion coins for me.
Bottomline: If you need an inexpensive, somewhat rugged, convenient scale, get it. If you don't need a scale, get it anyway, you never know :D Very small and fits in a drawer out of the way until needed.
Pros: I use this for accurate measurement of tea anf mae use of the tare function all the time. It is accurate and fast. The 2 second start up using decent alkaline batteries is more than acceptable. Easy to read LCD figures in normal light make this little scale a true pleasure to use.
Cons: Inside the cover, yje instructions say wait fior 5 minutes for the display to settle instead of 5 seconds. No cons on anything that matters.
Other Thoughts: Great little scale for those who need 0.1 gram accuracy. Price includes shipping and represents a real bargain and has led to many more purchases from DX. Great value, good delivery time and service.
Bottomline: Go for it!
