Pros: I'm sure you've looked all over deal extreme, and have seen that there's what looks like 100 different models of "R4" flash carts available for your DS, and you've probably wondered why, and which one to choose. There are so many different versions of the R4 available because they aren't "true" R4 Revolutions, but clone cartridges made by companies that jumped in when the original maker of the R4 was shut down. Among other things, this means that there isn't support or updates available from the manufacturer. This is one of the many reasons to choose the Acekard2. The AK2 just comes in normal and DSI flavors, has support from a manufacturer who releases new firmware, runs a depository for new skins, and offers simple usage instructions. I chose the AK2 after a month or so of reviewing different flash carts, and I couldn't be more happier. Works flawlessly with ROMs, has DLDI so homebrew boots right up, and supports SDHC. This is THE card to buy, hands down.

Cons: The AK2 sucks the juice out of my DS lite a bit faster than I'd like, but I need a new battery anyways, mine is about 2 years old.
The card doesn't fit *perfectly* flush in the unit, but pokes out ever so slightly on one corner. Not a big issue.

Other Thoughts: I was up and running in about 15 minutes. This is a great device, worth twice the price. The memory card I want costs more than the Acekard, I think it's funny.

Bottomline: Skip the R4 clones, even if they're gold and shiny, and buy an Acekard2 or Acekard2i. These are ABSOLUTELY worth the extra couple dollars. It's like going from a Geo to a Cadillac for the cost of a school lunch. Do it, you won't regret it.

Pros: Great buy. Definitely recommended. I have bought my kids 4 different flashcarts including this one and this one blows the others away.
Great startup speed.
No boot-up freezes.
Cheats are so easy to setup and it actually works.
supports SDHC + a usb adapter.

Cons: None although the build could be better. Not complaining though cause mine is still like new after 6 months.

Other Thoughts: This is the best flashcart I have among the 4 that I have bought. And it also is the cheapest among the 4.

Bottomline: Best bang for the buck! There may be a better flashcart but it would definitely be a lot lot lot more expensive. But for this price and up to 3x the price, this is the flashcart that you will get the most from your money.

Pros: Once the OS is loaded this card is amazing. Buy a nice big microSD/TF card to go with it because once you have used this once you will understand just how handy it is

Cons: For non-experienced computer users the firmware is a little bit tricky to get loaded properly. If you are at all skilled with computers you will have no problem though

Other Thoughts: Make sure you only get firmware updates from AceKard, other firmwares can brick the card or cause usability problems

Bottomline: Great value, card works perfectly and it saves me from cartridge swapping or possibly losing my games when on vacation

Pros: Opens up your NDS so you can:-
*play downloads of your backup games from one cart instead of having to keep swaping cards.
*Doesn't automatically start like R4 cards when inserted, so you don't have to remove your card every time you want to play multiplayer games.
*Is compatible with more games than r4 cards.
*You can copy,paste and delete games

Cons: Only displays 4 games at a time on the start screen.
If you have a micro card with alot of games on, it takes a long time to load up.
SAV files are named differently to those on R4 cards so you can't transfer save files from r4 to acekard without renaming them.

Other Thoughts: The slow load time of a full micro card makes this card really horrible to use. If this was sorted the card would great.

Bottomline: Great card if your a patient person.
