Pros: InexpensiveGood enough build qualityComes with the MicroSD readerExcellent UIExcellent support for games and cheats
Cons: Card reader is flimsyNo fingers to protect the gold contactsCard is held together by external clips; could come apart with rough handling
Other Thoughts: This is better than the R4 and others because of its UI. The interface is really nice to look at. Has all of the features that you would need in a flashcart.
Bottomline: Great Purchase. Much better than the more expensive varieties and comes with everything you'd want it to.
Pros: This is a really exceptional flashcart when you consider all that it is able to do for just a little over $10.The support for microSD-HC is a huge plusas my old card couldn't hold more than a 2GB sd but now I've got an 8GB for the AceKard2 and it holds all my games. The best pro I can think of is the price. I wanted something to replace my old r4 with firmware that was still updated and with sd-hc support. I didn't want to spend $50 on a cycloDS though. For me real time save ability and all the extra jazz are ok features but not ones that I'll use and def not worth the extra money. For the price, this is the best card out there.
Cons: As others have said, the build quality isn't that great. I haven't ever felt like it was going to break but if you are a little rough when handling your cards you might have a problem. My solution to that would be just buy two so you have a spare. At this price, even two cost less than a decent ds game. The other cons is a personal choice and that is the spring loaded sd slot. I don't like spring load personally. Its just easier for me to pull it out. I haven't felt like it was going to break, I just don't like it. Other people do and it seems that some batches don't even have the spring it maybe even be a non issue. The packaging is a little cheap. It would be nice if the insert inside held the card snug like the packaging with the r4 used to. It isn't bad but I can see how some probably get damaged during shipping if they get banged around too much.
Other Thoughts: Overall this is the best bang for your buck. The software took me a few minutes to get used but a quick google search and I was in business. I was able to add all my old savs from my R4 with no problems. I really like the skins and how you can get the time and calender. There aren't as many skins for this as an R4 (or r4 clone) but there are still a lot and if there is really something you want, making a skin for this isn't really that hard. The cheat code database is here and pretty easy to you. You can set the option for each game how you want to use a feature.Lastly, I'd recommend installing AKAIKO instead of the AceKard firmware. Just a personal preference. Both firm wares update regularly but I like AKAIKO better.I bought three of these for less than the price than new super mario bros and they all work perfect. Get yourself an 8GB microSD card (or at least a 4GB) and you'll be all set.
Bottomline: I've said it before and I'll say it again, overall this is the best bang for your buck. The support for microSD-HC is a huge plusas my old card couldn't hold more than a 2GB.Buy this today, seriously. Dealextreme is a great company. Shipping takes time to the USA but it is free so I can't really complain. I've ordered a ton of stuff from here over the years and never had a problem.Bottom line, if you own a ds lite you need one of these. It will change your life!:)Well, maybe not your life, but it will change the way you play hand held games.Buy It!
Pros: At first, it's very easy to use, very invuitive. It enters very well in your NDS, almost such as an original card. It supports MicroSDHC without problems, and it's higly compatible with the most part of NDS games, and with 3in1 Expansion Pack...so, I bought two ones for a friend of mine.
Cons: Perpahps, the build quality isn't so high, but after all it resists to falls...so, nothing to worry about!
Other Thoughts:
Bottomline: Nothing else to say...just recommended! Great product, reliable and easy to use, at a great price! Buy it!
Pros: - The price is really cheap.- The delivery was fast.- It works perfectly.- Easy to figure out how it works.- It saves you a lot of money, because you can play homebrew games with it etc.- Probably not the 'real' stuff but hey, who cares? Be happy that it works like a normal one.
Cons: - The build quality could be better, but if you handle it like you should (normal use) this shouldn't be a problem.Apart from that, there are really no cons. It works great.
Other Thoughts: - Download a few games.- Put it on a mini-SD card via the USB-stick-thing that comes with this AceKard.- Plug the mini-SD into your AceKard.- Put the AceKard in your Nintendo DS (Lite)- Enjoy your games. Woo!
Bottomline: Some people mentioned other cons, but I haven't experienced them, or I have no problems with them, so I didn't mention them here too.
