Ownership verified by DX 70Amp ESC tried and tested

Pros: Having now had the chance to fly this ESC in my Spifire the esc provides 45A plus with no stress. I can report total satisfaction with no glitches to the radio system (35 MHz). DX do now sell a UBEC to power the servos from the flight battery. Well done DX, more bargains like this needed!

Cons: None so far other than having to use a UBEC, but that is not unusual at this power and price range.

Other Thoughts: Don't forget to remove the label for better cooling, not that mine gets at all warm. Better to under run a 70A ESC than to push a 40A one to its limit and crash out when it overheats.

Bottomline: Excellent value, I am just ordering a couple more for stock.

Pros: Good value for money. Good sized heatsink hidden under the label (remove for best cooling effect!) Works well at the moment but further extensive flight testing will reveal if there are any problems. So far so good. Will report back if problems develope. Operates from 2 cells upwards. Many competitors in this price range require minimum of 4 cells to operate.

Cons: Opto only, meaning no BEC to provide the receiver power from the flight battery. Dealextreme don't sell UBECs yet!

Other Thoughts: Come on Dealextreme, find us some more good modelling gear. I like the policy of quoting postage paid prices so no nasty surprises like some other sites I know. Delivery times are good too.

Bottomline: Good value, would buy other ESCs from this family of products.
