Ownership verified by DX Odd charging pattern

Involvement: Expert (understands the inner workings) - Ownership: 1 week to 1 month

Price: starstarstar
Ease of Use: starstarstar
Build Quality: starstarstarstar
Usefulness: starstarstar
Overall Rating: starstarstar

Pros: -> Multiple channels
-> charges a wide array of cells
-> 1.2A max charging current quickly charges 18650's (singly, charging 2 at a time reduces to 600mA per cell)
-> seems to stop periodically when the cell is nearly charged to check voltage
-> comes with a 12V car adaptor

Cons: -> was still attempting to charge my 18650, even when cell voltage was at 4.25V
-> charges in pulses - high voltage pulse, pause (presumably check cell voltage), repeat
-> this means that you still have to babysit this charger, and manually remove cells when they hit 4.20V, or risk cell overcharge and venting

Bottomline: I'm still looking for a lithium charger that won't overcharge cells if left unattended.

Pros: + charge large variety of 3.7 V Li-Ion batteries
+ has four charging channels
+ charges my batteries little bit under 4.2V(around 4.18 - 4.19V)
+ it actualy looks better that on pictures
+ has a 12v car adapter.
+ car adapter has a fuse.

Cons: none for me.

Other Thoughts: Car adapter has a fuse and it is good from one side, from other side if something goes wrong fuse will burn and if you dont know about fuse it will look that car adapter don't work anymore ...

Bottomline: It is very solid and good build charger.
Supports many types of Li-Ion batteries, has a car plug.
It is my first SoShine charger and I am very satisfy.

Pros: - Charges most types of 3.7 V Li-Ion batteries.
- It has four charging channels, two high powered ones for larger batteries and two lower powered smaller ones.
- Charges the batteries consistently to around 4.18 volt.

Cons: - The "door" to the battery charging bays seems a little fragile.
- 14500 batteries doesn't fit in the "small battery" bays.
- Other than that, no cons at all.

Other Thoughts: If you only want one Li-Ion charger, I would recommend this one.
Soshine is a good brand with pretty good products.
It costs almost twice of what a certain two bay charger costs, but you'll have to remember that this is a four bay charger.

Bottomline: Great Li-Ion charger, a bit more expensive that the cheaper ones but it is worth it.

Pros: It is 4 seperate channels. Will charge most types of li-on batteries. Can be used in car with right adapter. Has error checking abilities and reverse polarity protection. Cells usually come off at around 4.18 volts... could be good or bad.

Cons: 1st one I bought had multiple problems, DX exchanged it and this one has been fine. Biggest con is my blue trustfire 14500 protected don't fit. They will charge in the 18650 slot, but if charging one at a time, this is over the 1C recomended charge rate.

Other Thoughts: I haven't been able to determine if this charger has a sharp cut off rate or not. Soshine claims if it misses termination that it has a secondary timer to end charging. When I try and check charging voltages the meter is all over the place, it seems to be pulse charging.

Bottomline: It works, does pretty much what it claims. Soshine is a reputable company. So, I can recomend this charger, but there may be better values.
