Pros: I tested it with a new Prepaid phone, sony ericsson j132. It works as a charm! No need to cut simcard, just gently slide it in, power on the phone, and off you go.Never knew it could be that simple, and cheap to unlock a phone. Especially for a cheap phone like the j132.
Cons: It felt that the phone was a little, little bit slower. Not sure about that.
Other Thoughts: Is it possible that there's some "evil functions" inside the chip, so others can listen to me, read sms messages... etc?No sure about this.
Bottomline: Great value for money
Pros: It's very easy to get this thing in place. You only need skills in knowing how to use scissors :) as you should cut the sim to allow room for the chip. Has worked for me in the following cases:* Nokia N95 8 Gb (locked by Vodafone Spain) with a Movistar Spain SIM.* Nokia N96 (locked by Movistar Spain) with a Vodafone Spain SIM.* Nokia 6120 Internet Edition (locked by Vodafone Spain) with a Movistar Spain SIM.I haven't tried with other phones/operators.
Cons: I've tried also with one of these SIMs (Movistar Spain) where you got two phone lines (personal and work) that you activate depending on the pin entered at boot and doesn't work. Not a problem for me at all, but maybe you should know.
Other Thoughts:
Bottomline: Happy with the product.
Pros: Unlocks some phones to allow you to use SIMs from other providers.Works with a V630i from Vodaphone. Phone takes Meteor and Three Ireland SIMS
Cons: Hard to use ( Inserting into some SIM slots of some phones ) Need to cut SIMDoes not work with newer Mobiles ( 5310 or E51 )
Other Thoughts: Inserting it often enough can make the chip break of the plastic. I had to resolder the the pins.
Bottomline: If you have an older simlocked phone ( like 3+ years old) you have a good chance it will work ( Check the compatibility list, but i wouldnt trust it completely ). Some providers actually have some countermeasures or systems that make the use of this chip difficult. I used it in a LG phone and after a while the phone lost signal permanently. Only a reset with another ( valid ) SIM without using the chip could reset the phone. Afterwards the chip worked again for a while.
Pros: 1. It's really working. I've tried this on an older Nokia 6280.2. Price it's low. To software unlock the phone, I've had to pay more than buying this sim.3. It's very this, and it fits perfectly in the sim holder.
Cons: 1. The only thing that it's a minus, is that you have to cut your sim card, because it has a chip that must fits in.2. This in not a real minus: it takes more time to boot the device and to find the network.
Other Thoughts: Cutting the sim card may be a little difficult. Also, you have to use this unlock sim always in the phone, but this is not a realy problem, because you won't actualy feel it.
Bottomline: It's very useful. the price it's ok and you don't damage the phone and you don't loose the guarantee of the product. Even if you have to cut the sim card, this doesn't damage it and you can use it later with no problems.
