Pros: I got this for my PSP. I had a 8GB Class 6 MicroSDHC card laying around so I thought I'd convert it into a MS Pro Duo. It works, definitely, without any problems. Just use your MicroSDHC reader, load it up with data (music, video, homebrew, etc) and you're good to go. Not much to know if you've used other adapters.
Cons: It's super slow. It's about 5 times as slow as a 4GB Pro Duo and it's about 4 times as slow as the chip itself with a Usb 2.0 adapter. Game load times can take excess of 1 minute for some games. Doesn't work with HEN, unfortunately.
Other Thoughts: I got the Kingston version. The site states that you get one of three or four brands.
Bottomline: If you've got no other choice but to use an adapter like this, it doesn't get any cheaper. I've looked everywhere and most other places will charge you triple (at least) for a similar product. However, performance is almost crippling.
Pros: Great simple adaptor that works as advertised. I tried 2Gb Toshiba and 8Gb Transcend cards and they worked just fine. Mine came branded Kingston for street cred. Works fine in my PSP3000. Solidly made. Works in all card readers I have tried.
Cons: None! But I have not tested cards over 8Gb. Came without case, but who cares.
Other Thoughts: Consider the amazing Photofast adaptor that takes one or two microsd cards:http://www.dealextreme.com/details.dx/sku.16489
Bottomline: Great way to make your own MS cards, but Photofast adaptor probably more useful.
Pros: -Great adapter for the price-Saves $$$ on buying memory sticks-Don't have to pay the $ony tax-Supports up to 8GB Cards-Backwards compatible with regular MicroSD cards
Cons: -There might be duds if you order more than 5-MagicGate NOT SUPPORTED (But who needs it anyways when you are just taking JPEGS and loading ISO's off it?!!)
Other Thoughts: If these cards did have better support for cards larger than 8GB then it would be a true money saver.
Bottomline: If you don't want to pay the Sony tax, then get these. You pay none everytime you get a new MicroSDHC card and turn it into a MPSD card.
Pros: I think the build quality is fine it works well for me there are some issues with it though.
Cons: One of my 8GB patriot cards won't work the other one works fine both bought at same time But it is the cards fault not the adapter. On my PSP 2000 when I exit a game I have to do a soft reboot no biggy. Finlay the access times are a slower even in some game play.
Other Thoughts: Mine says Kingston on them (cool)bla bla bla bla bla bla bla bla bla bla bla bla bla bla bla bla bla bla bla bla bla bla bla bla bla bla bla bla bla bla bla bla bla bla bla bla bla bla bla bla bla bla bla bla
Bottomline: SD cost half that of Memory sticks you would be an artard not buy one. Hacker of the world unite ;P
