Pros: It make great sparks! After my first failed attempt, I had to come back to the webpage to see the videos in action. I discovered the black paint has to be removed first. In my second attempt, after removing some paint, I got a fire over kitchen paper in only 3 strikes.
Cons: It came with absolutely no instructions. I would have thanked some indications about:-Removing black paint before use-How to strike (force and inclination)

Bottomline: No more thougths, just I hope I don't need to use it ever. It is stored in my rucksack
Pros: Makes sparks if you stroke it correctly. No, not THAT way you perverted twit! Well, maybe if you were talking about your MOM! Oh, yeah I went there!
Cons: Sparks are pretty, but futile. I was unable to ignite charcoal lighter fluid with this item. Unlike your mom, who gets hot and bothered at the mere sight of a briquette. Oh, yeah I went there again!Build quality seems poor - bendy stick.
Other Thoughts: I suppose it may by theoretically possible to ignite something. Possibly the monkeys flying out of my butt. Of course if we were discussing your mom, it would be elephants! DISSED!
Bottomline: Once the monkeys ignite, watch out! Flaming monkeys at 3 O'clock! Buy a couple of cheap butane disposables instead. Spend the money you save on your mom. Buy her some new clothes or jewelry so she doesn't look like such a skank ho.
Pros: This is the kind of thing I hope never have to use. But I bought it anyway, because maybe someday I will find myself lost in a desert island with only my car. That's when I will go get it inside the glove compartment, right next to my Zippo.No. Kidding. This is really nice. It's not that useful unless you like it really rough when you go camping out in the wild.
Cons: Nothing really.
Other Thoughts: Don't know how useful this is for you. For me it's kinda useless, but I was curious and it was cheap and I wanted to try it out. But hey, that's the whole idea of gadgets, right?
Bottomline: I love DX and will keep buying cheap, sometimes useless items from them. Promise!
Pros: Works much better than I had expected. You can get lots and lots of sparks with very little effort and light a fire quite easily.
Cons: I didn´t like the scraper, but it can be easily substituted so it really isn´t a huge problem.
Other Thoughts: The black protective coating must be removed before using this tool, otherwise it will not work.
Bottomline: Does what it is supposed to do. Well worth the price, works very well. .
