Pros: External quality is very good Easy assembly, just put both part together. The strap fit well.
Cons: My red button did not work all the time. The fret down button also does not work well. I did want to send it back for replacement, so i opened it. (triangle head screw for the part with fret button, and normal cross screw for the core) The inner built quality is very poor. Its hand made welding on circuit board. The red fret issue come form the connector wiring to me main board. It already had too repair wire strap on it, and one of them was broken too ! And for the down button, it's only a little built quality issue (too close from the switch)
Other Thoughts: Removable Front plate (the with part) for customizing Guitar hero is addictive Became painful after hours of playing !
Bottomline: Good product if it come without quality issues. If the case, generally are easy to solve (but void guaranty)
Pros: This is a "must have" for Wii owners! Its material and buttons have a very good quality. It is very cheap for brazilian wii gamers although, unfortunately, I had to pay for custom fees. It is working pretty well with all Guitar Heroes games I have.
Cons: Unfortunately its Wii Remote box has a small problem so I can't close it. But that is not a big deal for me.
Other Thoughts:
Bottomline: I bought it for me but it looks like that my wife liked it much more than me so she can't stop playing with it and sometimes forgets about me :(It may not sound a problem for some men. It may actually be their solution :)
Pros: It is a lot cheaper than the original one. It works perfectly with all my Guitar Hero games.Feels sturdy (only time will tell) and heavy enough.Easy to put together. It comes in one flat box. Just like IKEA :)You can change the front plate. or, just paint it yourself :)
Cons: - The strap that comes with it is OK, but could be a bit better.- Guitar Hero is difficult :)
Other Thoughts: Where can you get other face plates?
Bottomline: If you have Guitar Hero, and no guitar, buy this one. Works great and you can paint the front plate yourself if you want :)
Pros: I never had in my hands an 'official' guitar, and thus I can't compare it with one of this. However, I can say it looks good and works fine. Just as I expected. It really does not look 'cheap', just 'normal' (I say this, given that I don't have other brand/qualities to do a comparison)I've tested it and it works fine with guitar hero III legends of rock, guitar hero III custom edition and guitar hero Metallica.
Cons: One of the buttons sometimes does not respond very well (that's why the "4" in 'build quality'.
Other Thoughts: It's far better than play guitar hero just with your wii remote or do not play at all (i.e. GH Metallica does not work with just the wii remote)
Bottomline: Does its job! Get it, if you want a better experience than playing GH III with your wii remote.
