Little cool flashlight with 9 bright LED bulbs. Construction is a little cheap when you take it apart, but it feels solid when you are holding it with batteries inside. It has long battery life and I am amazed by how low price it can be, given its performance.Starting late September 2006, we switched to a better version of this 9 LEDs flashlight. It's made of thicker aluminum shell and brighter MCD rated LCD bulbs.

Very nice
This refers to the 'upgraded version'
I bought a couple of these to compare to the Ristoft (sp), which is a slightly longer 1w luxeon which takes the same 3 x aaa batteries.
This is the better buy.
Why? Well, firstly it's brighter. Not jaw-droppingly brighter, but especially at close-quarters you'll notice the difference, It has a similar spill pattern (wide) outdoors, and indoors this translates to lighting half a normal size room adequately. Secondly it's substantially shorter. It really is a torch you can put in your pocket and forget is there.
At the price, at time of writing, I recommend it. It's cheap, small, handy, and surprisingly bright. Also, I will go a bit further than the vendor and say that mine doesn't feel cheap. The tail-clicky is very clunky and solid - more so than on several much more expensive lights - and it's just a nice little bundle. If you're reading this close to christmas, buy a half dozen and give as gifts.
Nifty. 4 out of 5, for an ultra-budget light that is actually useful.
Pros: Sturdy.Solid clicky switch.Good light spread.Lasts a decent amount of time on one set of batteries.2 torches for a very reasonable price.
Cons: The cage for the AAA batteries feels really cheap and rattles a bit in the torch.Stupidly short lanyard.Gaskets by threads don't look like they'll last. (May rot)Doesn't throw very far.
Other Thoughts: If the battery cage fitted a little better and the lanyard was useable then this little package would be the best buy on this site but these are little niggles and can be easily remedied by using some other way to secure the torch and if you're bothered about the battery cage rattle then just put a small elastic band around it.These are great to just have hanging around in places they might be needed and just run them on really cheap AAA batteries from the pound shop.
Bottomline: Get a pack, put one in the car and another in the kitchen/garage/shed/anywhere. Nice and practical little torch.
Pros: -Small (Fits well in your pocket)-Bright (Brighter than similar one I bought from store)-Cheap (Seryously cheap)-Well made (Even better than some of the more expensive than this)-Easy to use (Pop in the batteries and push the button)
Cons: None really. First product where I can say that. Can't say that this short hanstrap serves itself well, but your child or little brother can use it.
Other Thoughts: The handstrap could be longer, but that isn't really a problem.I accidentally ordered 2-pack, and at first I was thinking that the DX has made a mistake. :P
Bottomline: Take the 2 pack and you wont regreat. Even if you need only one, you can give the second one to your friend. ;)
Pros: Very white and bright light, cheap, compact. Gave one to my mum and she thought it was great.
Cons: One of mine never worked properly, there seems to be a problem with the clicky switch. It only works with the cap screwed half on and then it flickers and carries on. Also it takes 3 aaa batteries which is a pain, because aaa's usually come in a pack of four. Generally they are also more expensive then aa's, less common, and don't last as long. But then most torches seem to take 3 aaa's these days so I should probably get used to it.
Other Thoughts:
Bottomline: If both of them work properly then they're definitely worth having, handy to have around and they make good gifts. They make a good addition to my already out of control torch collection. You can never have enough torches.
Pros: Its quite small, around 4 cm more than an AAA battery. It has a cord to not loose it.Metal body.It makes quite light for 9 led it is enough to see in a room.Very good price
Cons: White light (it might be a pro too)uses 3 AAA batteries.
Other Thoughts: I bought first sku.1254, but by the difference of the price this is better.
Bottomline: It has a very interesting price. It is a good option as a gift. Very usefull to look for things at the garage or at home when there is no light intead of using candles.
Power- 3 x AAA batteries (not included), rechargeable or non-rechargeable are both fine.
