This green laser pointer is no joke, and you should use it seriously. No matter what objects you are pointing at, you will see a solid green laser point on it. Its laser will shoot through any transparent or almost transparent object and carry on its way. It's also stunning to see the actual green laser beam beam at night. Its only trade-off is the relative higher cost and the green laser related questions coming from your friends, family, classmates, co-workers (trust me on that one). Can't wait to try out the forbidden 10mW, 20mW and 30mW.

11/1/2006:
The new 10mW model's green dot is significantly brighter and bigger than that of our original 5mw model's. Its beam is a lot more visible too. We now ask the manufacturer to provide perfect products and lens. We also hand test these units to make sure they are perfect before shipping. So the spillage problem should be resolved for shipment from now onwards.

(update) I forgot to post that starting a while ago the manufacturer has been putting in some pretty good quality alkaline AAA batteries in the gift boxes together with the laser. And that's really convenient as you can now start beaming at things right out of the box.

(notice about potential laser hazard) As discussed by Meduza and a few other fellows at our forums, this laser does not come with an IR filter. So for safety you should wear a protective glass when using the pointer.

Fun to Use

Pros: Nice bright beam that can be easily seen at night and inside. Very reasonable price. Shipped with decent batteries. Impresses all my friends!! (both of them)

Cons: When I use it inside, feels like I've got sand in my eyes. Be careful! Best to use outside only.

Other Thoughts: Probably not very useful, but still fun. Looks like the beam goes on forever when pointing towards the stars.

Bottomline: This laser is less than $25.00! I've seen similar on the web for >$70. If you ever wanted to get a powerful green laser, might as well get this one. The 20mw laser seemed to have better reviews than the 30mw.. Thats why I decided on this one.

Pros: Excellent Laser! Can see beam at night, really cool to play with, it's a laser pen (looks good in my opinion) and came with good batteries! The button is sturdy, seems like a good quality laser. I accidently dropped this laser a few times.. It still works fine! No problems!

Cons: Doesn't contain and IR Filter.. Becareful when using this laser!

Other Thoughts: I really should have bought the 30mw Green Laser.. It's better price and is more powerful..

Bottomline: This is an excellent laser and i had lots of fun playing with this! Great buy from DX!

Pros: Built good and looks very solid. Laser beam can be seen in day and night. Very bright green and solid. Pretty good range of beam.

Cons: Oh yes keep it away from your eyes because it ain't safe. If you want to see don't point into your eyes. This is not for kids and it is dangerous.

Other Thoughts: Looks cool going through a fish tank full of water. 20mW pointer is brighter as described in descriptions given. For those that are getting this because you want to do cool stuff with it i have yet to do anything cool with it yet but working on it.

Bottomline: A must have if you need it. A nice laser pointer for a good price. Don't buy it if you just want to have fun with it. You get bored very easily. Trust me.

Pros: Well built product, beam is visible at night. Very bright green,good collaminated, its visible very far away. The housing looks good and solid.

Cons: Box looks like 1800 BC! a black one would be nicer.
it has no infrared filter built in, so watch out what youre doing with this pointer. it's not a toy and has to be used carefully.

Other Thoughts: it seems that the 20 mW pointers are different. i bought two of them and one was much brighter.

Bottomline: a nice laserpointer for a few bucks, you would buy it even you don't need it. so watch out :-)
