4/15/2006:This green laser pointer is no joke, and you should use it seriously. No matter what objects you are pointing at, you will see a solid green laser point on it. Its laser will shoot through any transparent or almost transparent object and carry on its way. It's also stunning to see the actual green laser beam beam at night. Its only trade-off is the relative higher cost and the green laser related questions coming from your friends, family, classmates, co-workers (trust me on that one). Can't wait to try out the forbidden 10mW, 20mW and 30mW.11/1/2006:The new 10mW model's green dot is significantly brighter and bigger than that of our original 5mw model's. Its beam is a lot more visible too. We now ask the manufacturer to provide perfect products and lens. We also hand test these units to make sure they are perfect before shipping. So the spillage problem should be resolved for shipment from now onwards.
(update) I forgot to post that starting a while ago the manufacturer has been putting in some pretty good quality alkaline AAA batteries in the gift boxes together with the laser. And that's really convenient as you can now start beaming at things right out of the box.
(notice about potential laser hazard) As discussed by Meduza and a few other fellows at our forums, this laser does not come with an IR filter. So for safety you should wear a protective glass when using the pointer.
Pros: wow, powerfull or what ? can be seen for at least 3km at night inc beam, great for freaking people out and upsetting the po-po chopper pilot lol, get one i can`t see the difference to my mates 50 mw model.DX clasic !!!
Cons: none !! eveyone loves it !!
Other Thoughts: will be buying molre lasers off DX maybe a 200mw red one for burning with focus, these are such good value who cares if they don`t last forever ? what does ?
Bottomline: nice one DX keep it up and if you`re thinking of getting one , well , DO!!!
Pros: u wont beleive this but i compared this with my true 50mW green laser and they look the same with beam power and dot size.its solid and looks very nice with a matt finish.very strong laser
Cons: box looks ugly, one of the batteries had a knife cut around it, and it was pretty deep cut
Other Thoughts: quik dilivery, and i live in the UK, only took a 6 days to arrive, thats quick!
Bottomline: get it, dont waste ur money on buying a 50mW unless u want power to burn stuff, its looks the same as the 50mW, great buy, get it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Pros: -Very nice build quality. It feels good in your hands-Pretty bright (in the dark you can see the beam)-Comes with batteries-Great price !
Cons: Nothing to add here, but let's see how long it lasts..
Other Thoughts: My first buy from DX, and I'm pretty happy with it !It shipped in 11 days, which is decent..

Pros: Very BRIGHT!, too bright to use inside.At night it looks like star wars or something.Beam goes over 1.5 kilometers.The beam is very solid and you can see it from all angles at night but on day only the dot is visible.Feels nice, like a rubbered surface and the switch is not wobbling like my 5mW does.Comes with a nice gift box.Burns black plastic and it feels like you push a needle in your arm if you make a black dot on it.
Cons: Drains batteries pretty quick.Can't use inside without laser protecting goggles.
Other Thoughts: Be careful with this laser, my brother got a reflection in hes eye from a window and had a black spot for a couple of hours. The sticker with the text Danger is there for a reason...
Bottomline: Very cool @ night and don't shine it in your eye or someone else eye.
