Pros: ok, it's very cheap, smart, it's efficient. It's smart, charges just about anything, simple to use, i almost didn't read the manual at all and i know all it's settings. It has a lot of useful settings, protections, it's reliable, i'm charging batteries without really supervising him, even on lithiums.

Cons: While discharching with over 1A it could appear problems. Heat. I'm using it with a 500mAh source, and usually with 4xAA, AAA, 18500, 14500 lithium batteries, so i haven't used it with powerful batteries with more than 4 cells, so i have no problems, but at 900mAh it get's pretty warm, so at 1,5A for example it could appear problems. I recomend using it in a basement for example, or adapt some fan to it, so this problem could be avoid.

Other Thoughts: I'm using it with a "wall-plug" source of 500mAh, if i set it to charge with over 500mAh it says "Input vol error" :), also charging 8 AA's at a time it says "Input vol error", i guess it's also because of my very small source. I recomend using it with a fan cooler.

Bottomline: It's your decision if you buy it, it's really healthy for your AA, AAA, lithium 14500, 17500 etc, more protective and efficient than usual simple chargers, it makes your batteries life last longer, meaning more cicles and keeping theyr power in time. Also with some small precautions you can use it with no other problems with alot more powerful battery packs.

Pros: +Price is lower than any other charger
+a lot of stuff aditional to the charger

Cons: -in the way it is origionaly build it would destroy itself while real usage by overheating, especialy while discharging because power transistors have no thermal connection to the case
-incorrectvoltage measurement
-incorrect balancing
-wires are to thin
-tepm. plug does not realy fit

Other Thoughts:

Bottomline: Mystery LCD Digital Balance Charger and Discharger (1~6 Cell Lithium / 1~15 Cell NiCD/NiMH)is a cheap charger and when i sag cheap i realy mean cheap!
I guess neither in america then in europe this charger would get on the market, but thats why we are buing in china!
With al litle bit of preparing it an fixing the chinese mistakes its quite good for the price!

Pros: Very sturdy build and nicely painted.
It comes in AL case.
Lot of cables/connectors and thermal probe.
Depends on where are you from, but for me it costs about half price!
Beeping sound can ba switched off! :)

Cons: 1. Transistors.
Well it's not really a con since you can put away the back panel and bend them if it's needed.
I just think that they could be better (more amps)
The price of better transistors is just few cents more so there is no reason for it.
They "should" take 5 amps but I doubt that they will work for very long.
2. If the source is just 0,1V more than 18V the charger will stop working.

Other Thoughts: The transistors should be better so they don't heat up so much.(since they are not properly cooled)
OR
they could be mounted on the back panel with a screw. (like it's normally done)

Bottomline: I didn't tried to charge really strong batteries so I can't talk about it but I'm charging 7,4v 950mAh Lipo with 1A and it works without problems.
(The charger is quite cool at these settings)
I think if you know about electronics you could find a replacement for the transistors.
But for the price it's really good.

Pros: + Many details of the charging.
+ Solid construction and compact.
+ Very useful
+ Simple menu

Cons: - Thermal sensor not very intuitive to connect. The correct connection is:
- The pin closest to the DC input is WHITE (+5)
- The central pin is RED (Temp)
- The furthest from the DC is BLACK(GND)
- The power transistors are not properly mounted to the case. The paint acts as isolator in the stock unit
- The resistor number 16 looks a little burned and smell like this... not good signal :(

Other Thoughts: Others revius say that you can connect to the pc using the thermal connector, and a correction of the power transistors mount.
Thanks for the help friends!!

Bottomline: It's not perfect but if you want, can improve it to have a long live.
