Pros: Very bright torch which is well constructed. The beam floods very nicely and provides a very even light. Still has enough power to reach far distances. The two modes are quite useful where the low setting is low enough (maybe on the bright side).

Cons: Mine came with a missing o-ring for the front lens. The glass bit jiggles around. I need to find a replacement, hopefully DX will provide me one.

Other Thoughts: Very good quality (except for the missing o-ring). Everything feels nice and solid. Fits the 18650 battery perfectly.

Bottomline: A great torch to own.

Pros: The design is Solid. The quality of manufacturing and attention to details is awesome (little things like they lubricate the O-rings so the twist off is smooth as silk). Output will be more than any carbon based person would ever need.....

Cons: None I can think of...

Other Thoughts: I suggest buying at least 2 of the high capacity rechargeable batteries along with a charger for each light you order.

Bottomline: BUY IT.. You will LOVE IT..

Pros: Very bright
Good thermal design
Compact
Fits hand nicely
Wide beam, good as bicycle light

Cons: Glass lens - potentially fragile. However it successfully withstands several fallings from 1m height.
Switch tube could be shorter
No medium mode
Light output gradually lowers as the battery discharges - seems to be direct-driven. However this is also an advantage, because battery life is longer.

Other Thoughts: About half as bright as non-Xenon automotive lamp.
Don't look at it directly when it's on hight mode.
When used on a bike it blinds other people - switch it to low when this is the case.

It is about 10 times brighter than my previous Cateye 500 LED lamp, it's more solid (metal vs plastic) and the price is the same.
I think the light output of this flashlight is the minimum accepted brightness for SAFE biking. I'll get another one and use them together.

Pros: DX delivers. Got my order within 13 days from Hong Kong to Honolulu, could have been alot quicker if US Customs didnt kept it for 3 days. It came wrapped in a bubble wrap in a box, no damage there. Put in a 18650 battery and worked perfect. Cant wait to test this tonight. Build quality is of high standard, o-ring fittings are perfectly placed, threads are clean in all 3 joints

Cons: I couldnt ask for anything more. I owned a surefire G2 which I modified and is running on a R2 bulb 2 modes and this ssc p7 MTE is just awesome. I tested both in my dark room and ssc p7 MTE is far more brighter than my G2. Range test will have to wait till tonight.

Other Thoughts: I have been a flashlight fanatic since high school in my electronic club days. Owned 1million candle power spotlight, UK C8 eled divinglight, UK cannon 100 HID and Surefire G2 and recently MTE ssc p7. So far as long as im in dry soil, MTE ssc p7 will be my sidekick for now. I wouldnt risk taking this in the water with me, for that i will rely on UK cannon 100.

Bottomline: I hope DX would one day sell diving lights. That would be a good market.
