Pros: Came well-packaged, but in a generic box. Colour was vibrant - exactly what I was looking for. All of the parts were intact and bagged together for ease of use. My 13 year-old daughter was very excited...
Cons: Poor paint job - Obviously a black case to start with, that went through a spray-booth. Masking tape holding certain parts together were still on the case when it arrived. Scratches very easily. The red paint job is good (only a few 'drips' on unsuspecting areas), but not anywhere near the quality of what I was expecting.
Other Thoughts: TYake your time on this project...It took me about three hours to successfully change the housing. I don't know where I found the patience. I know I will probably do another one (my other daughter's) and I bet I will complete that one in under 45 minutes. Check out u-tube for instructional videos - but remember no-one can do in in 5 minutes
Bottomline: Wish the paint job was better - will purchase another, but I'll be looking for the quality of an actual 'Nintendo' product instead. This red case won't be in great shape for long.....
Value for Money is exactly what is says!

Pros: The case looks good, like an orginal DS
Relatively easy to install, I've never changed a DS case before or any other case and it took me about an hour. All you need to do is search google for instructions or co on you tube. There are instruction for shock! cases about on the internet.
The price is very good comapre to the UK price.
All you need is patients and a steady hand.
Cons: Case doesn't meet in certain places which I can put up with.
The replacement screw covers are white, I just prefer black, I was careful and used my covers from my old black ds case.
Other Thoughts:
Bottomline: Fixed my DS lite without the expence and hassle of having to send it back to nintendo. My top cover would not stay open, the hinge had broken and now have a working case again and everyone thinks I have a new DS!
A very good Item

Pros: My kid broke down his NDS Housing case, and I bought this for him. It´s color is awesome, it changes from red to black in function of the light.
Include all the parts to change completely your videogame.
Cons: For non expert users it should be complicated to repace the housing.
It should include a trigram screwdriver. Don't forget to buy one or you can't change your housing case.
Other Thoughts: It's very difficult to remove all the mechanism and install it inside de new case.
Bottomline: Don't forget the trigram screwdriver. It's a very good product for it´s price.
Cumbersome but do-able!!

Pros: Well for starters right out of the box I couldn't tell it was an aftermarket item. It looks and feels like the same quality of the original. Comes with a bunch of replacement screws, stickers (to cover screws) and bumpers so lid dosent slam. Basically as long as you take your time and remember where everything goes it will look like an original. I read of others having to use a razor to shave some plastic off?? im my case it was good as is....buttons slide well.
Cons: Product should include a TRIGRAM screwdriver. Without this you cannot do the project so buy one if you plan to take on this task.
Other Thoughts: I believe the poor ratings of others regarding its "ease of use" if a little scurred. It is not an easy project to take on (took me 3 hours for a first timer). Even if I had a factory Nintendo case it would have been just as challenging.
Bottomline: Dont do it blind. Look on the internet for guides/ walkthroughs on how to do it so you dont damage any thing and to help you put the thing back together once you got it appart. Would definately recommend for those with good to above average mechanical sense!
