lacks quality control

Pros: I bought them about six months ago for use in places where I forget to turn the lights off.  Puts off adequate light for a stairwell or bathroom.  Noticeable difference in power bill even over CFL's.  instant on bright
 
Cons: after about 5 months 2 out 3 started blinking randomly.  I moved them outdoors where it's 40 F average.  Blinking stopped.  must be a heat acting on capacitor issue.
 
Other Thoughts: The Blueish tint is actually noon daylight's color.  at noon you can't even see the light as they nicely blend into the the sunlight background.  In the evenings, or early a.m. daylight becomes redder and more similar to incandescent colors, hence our perception that the lights look "blue" to us at night.
 
Bottomline: At this price, it's worth buying a few to play with Hopefully they work out the quality control bugs.
