Pros: nice phone, looks very much like the real one(i have both the real and this one) its windows mobile 6, and does the same as the real thing. comes in a really nice box, with 2 batteries included


Cons: it lacks a minisd card, and build quality isn't as good as the real phone, but it will last for a long time. too bad i dropped the phone and now the display has some nice colors:S


Other Thoughts: the real htc touch feels a bit rubbery, so it wont slip out of your hands really fast. this item has just a plastic look and feel, and will slip out of your hands much faster


Bottomline: nice phone, nice price. if i would need a PDA i would definitely buy this!

Pros: DX Touch has indeed very many pros , its easy customize after your own taste, there are a lot of programs to handle both themes and the menus as well as the "thouchflo", it surprisingly small, even after reading the other reviews about it ,I was still surprised when i got it.
The phone itself gives a nice feeling of quality,also something i didn't really expect from a chines brand.
have not noticed so far any lag when you browse around in the UI and that is somethign that could irritate me alot so that's a big plus


Cons: I would like to upgrade the phone, but so far i haven't found a sufficient rom thats reliable enough, tho im afraid to brick the phone.....however the standard windows update thats comes with windows is working
(won't upgrade to 6.1 tho).
So far i have found 2 misspelling in the system 1 is the all classic "pictur" in the touchflo meny, easy to solve tho,but that is one thing that can be really annoying and when its so easy to fix, why don't just do it in the factory :/
the second one is when you making a quick link in your homescreen to the map "progrm" also very annoying, then again its a windows mobile so you can fix it, but should not be needed on a new phone specially when the windows 6 is genuine :S
i never had a touchscreen before, but i would like it to be more sensitive so you don't need to push so hard, but perhaps that's a thing that can be configured,not found anything so far tho.
as for the outside the only thing that feelt rather crappy was the baksidecover
of the phone.
The camera is not that good well it is 2mpx as it say, BUT the lens is crap, many ppl confuse mpix for the quality of the picture tho its only measure the max size of the picture it can take.


Other Thoughts: Well as for the windows and software installed it all worked very well, and once again surprisingly well....beside working as a phone it is *laugh*, as many others i had problems get my simcard to work with it and that's a sad thing. i ordered several new refill cards and got some to work "luckily enough" so for you swedes out there that planing on buying this phone i have got "comviq/tele2 and Parlino"refill card to work so far might be good to know, as for halebop it did not.
some seemed to have problems getting a the phone in chines, guess i was lucky to get both English UI and an English manual (comes in handy to a new windows mobile user ;)) and that's a thing i was very happy for!


Bottomline: as for now when the dollar is low it is for me a very price worthy phone indeed, works very well when you have got all stuff up and running. And over all a very good chines copy.

Pros: Well cloned phone, build quality is really good, you don't actually feel like this phone will stop working anytime.
Touch screen response is smooth and accurate.
Mobile Windows and office are original ones.


Cons: Actually the only issue I have found about this phone is the price.


Other Thoughts: I think its a great "lab" phone, you can use it to do all the experiments you want with it cause if you brick it you will be able to buy another one for the same price, but if you really love the phone to keep it an use it for a long time is allways better to pay the extra money for the original one, or sing a contract with a carrier and get it cheapper. (which is not my case).


Bottomline: First of all, I thinks no one can have a final beredict, mainly because it looks like they are shipping different versions of this phone (based on reviews). But based on my owed one I can conclude this is a well cloned phone and have most of the features that the original one has, but besides that I think the price is not worth it, mainly because you can an original one for the same price singing a 2 years contract with some carriers.

Pros: First of all i advise everybody who is interested to check out the forums for this phone as the users here already covered lots of facts about this phone there!
My observations mostly cover with the pros/cons mentioned by other users too in the forum so this serves as a summary too but NOT as a replacement for the full info in the forums.
OK so now to the pros of this little phone :)
- this phone is REALLY small (actually the smallest smartphone i ever owned)
- the touch screen is really robust which makes use it without a screen protector
- windows mobile is totally legit and even heavy tasks as TomTom6 (using a BT GPS reciever) run fine
- actually the fact that it is a WM Smartphone is the biggest plus for the price (please note my and other users observations and conclusions regarding the price)
- WLAN, BT work as expected
- comes with two batteries
- someone who does not know the original htc may believe it is really a htc touch...


Cons: Unfortunaltely there are cons which are pretty heavy but may be fair to be pointed out on a device whick claims to be an exact copy:
- first of all the LACK OF SDHC SUPPORT
I have tested 6 microSDHC cards from
different manufacturers in total
until now(4GB & 8GB) and none of them
worked which othe users experienced too
There are however two users claiming even in their reviews that they had a 4GB card working without pointing out if its a normal microSD or microSDHC. As this are the 2 only mentions of a card over 2gb working(the users unfortunately do not reply on requests for details...) one may conclude the following:
- Either there are different versions of this phone around.
- Or there have been 4gb non SDHC cards in use(never seen one)
- or its simply not true :/
Having said this i must also point out, that i have tried to make this device to work with SDHC cards by using almost every SDHC patch from xda-developers
the next thing to point out is:
this device does NOT hav an ExtUSB connector like real HTC devices which means you can only use the included headset or a bluetooth headset with it(BT stereo works flawlessly)
htc adaptors to 3,5mm plug do not work either (again: check the forums for more details on that and photos documentig this)
Having read the review of the original which shows thet over 20h of MP3 playback shouldnt be a problem i was eager to test it on this phone. unfortunately the runtime i achieved while playing back mp3 files from a sd card with the screen off was around 6h(tested with 3 different batteries)


Other Thoughts: As someone before already stated this device may be more interesting if the prce was a little lower because for this price you almost get an used original.
The cons i pointed out are cons because i compare this phone to the original but on its own it may be still an acceptable windows mobile phone.
Two more things i forgot to point out and which are also mentioned in the forums:
The camera is WAY below 2mpix and almost useless because of its terrible quality(altough i havent tested the originals cam so this may be what you should expect).
The Volume during calls is pretty low, the speakerphone volume is low, and the mic pickup sensivity is low(which again may also be the case with the original but is also the case with many other smartphones).
Another thing is that the display is not transflective. That means when in (direct)sunlight you hardly can see anything as opposed to true transflective screens which are perfectly readable even at direct sun exposure.
This is something you may have to keep in mind when trying to use this phone as a navigation system on a sunny day...


Bottomline: Its hard to come up with a general verdict for this phone to be honest.
On the one hand it is really nice and small and a totally legit windows mobile phone which makes it very usable alone!
Then it is also a very close htc touch look alike phone (i would rather call it DX Touch ;) which ist quite affordable and puts you in to the ultra light smartphone league!
An the other hand whan you buy this phone as a power user beein (too much) oriented on the original phone specs you may be disappointed(even for this pretty low price) as there are differences which may be actually cornerstones of your decision for the htc touch.
I am personally undecided because i already considered selling this phone and buying the real deal(used for about the same price) but i wont be able to sell it as a htc touch because of the obvious differences which even a not so tech savvy user can easily spot(eg. trying to plug in a htc headphone od using a htc docking station).
But still as i already said if you just want an affordable WM6 smartphone this may be something for you because from the outside and operating system wise this is still a very nice phone.
