Pros: I've had this flashlight for several months now and it has never let me down. On the 4th of July, I was in Park City UT. and rode a tram to the resort. After the fireworks 100's of drunks were trying to make there way down the mountain in the dark. I whipped out my trusty 3W DX flashlight and everybody could see. The Tactical crown is a great add! everybody that see's it wants one.

Cons: That I don't have more money, so I can give all my friends one. Finish could be a little tougher....

Other Thoughts: If you really need to be the brightest bulb on the block, this light will host any 6p drop-in. There is a 3w IR drop-in available for all you night vision guys.

Bottomline: Get one , you wont be disappointed.

Pros: 18650 is nice. I really like the 5 modes. Decent build quality

Cons: Not as bright as 4238 even though 18650.
Doesn't tailstand and no candle mode.

Other Thoughts: In the competition to get bright and brighter lights, I hadn't appreciated until recently how much I like good runtime and dimmer light. 100+ lumens isn't always useful. I am keeping this light on my nightstand now and it is getting more and more use.
P60 compatible, so great host. Pretty good color beam. I was able to put a 24mm GITD o-ring between the glass and the reflector. Perfect fit, and a pretty cool effect!

Bottomline: If I lost it, I would buy it again.

Ownership verified by DX Well made, Great flashlight.

Pros: Perfect size that fits in your palm nicely, and running on 18650 means you'll get many hours of use before recharge.
Very well built, and the knurl is nicely pronounced to provide better grip than many other lights. The body of this flashlight has more metal than some other comparable lights, making it feel super tough & indestructible. All parts comes apart and the reflector/emitter modules are interchangeable with many other lights making this light versatile for quick drop-in change or parts upgrade.

Cons: Cree P4 emitter is good, but knowing there is many better ones out there... wishing it had Q5. Someone please do something about this "5 mode" stuff. It has no mode memory and it can be annoying at times when you switch the light on, to get what you didn't expect.

Other Thoughts: The combination of it's power, runtime and size makes it perfect for all around use, and it has great spill as well as surprising amount of throw, making this flashlight a hard one to beat.
(literally when it comes to abusing this thing... the body is built sturdier than many others.)
Add the optional tactical head, and this flashlight can become multi tool that will perform other tasks than just light your way.

Bottomline: Get two!! I think this light can become one of the best one made, once I upgrade the module & emitter... Q5 here comes!
Im gonna buy a few more to keep in my truck as well as put one on my bike.

Ownership verified by DX Good torch, good build good functions.

Pros: Strobe is very fast which is exactly what I wanted. Reasonably bright.

Cons: DX logo on it is a bit bare, would be nice if it was the same as top left of the page (lines etc)

Other Thoughts: Good strobe

Bottomline: Only takes one battery. I thought it needed 2?!
