Good light to stash around the house

Pros: Small.  Easy to wind.  Puts out a decent amount of light.  In my mind, this is great light to keep in handy locations around the house for emergencies...because it'll provide enough light in a blackout so you can find your way to your real emergency flashlight.
 
Cons: Quality is okay overall except for the power switch.  It is just a thin piece of plastic and can easily break if you're not careful with it.  This happened with one of the three I bought (my 2-1/2 year old daughter was playing with it).  Now it's constant on and runs down but lights right back up when wound!
 
Other Thoughts: Puts out a good amount of light.  Don't expect the kind of light that would come out of a power LED flashlights (like the ones sold here on DX)...but this one doesn't require batteries.
 
Bottomline: Only weakness is the switch.  Be careful with it and you'll have a handy flashlight.

Pros: No batteries required, always enough light to find the keyhole and other trivial stuff.

Cons: I gave this thing to my son, and he was a bit disappointed, it was just too little light.  In my own keyring I have a battery-driven mini-flashlight, it takes less space, gives more light, I've had it for years, and it still didn't run out of battery.

Other Thoughts: There is an accumulator inside, and the product probably doesn't work without it.  Accumulators do degrade with time.  I wouldn't be surprised if the accu breaks down before my keychain flashlight runs out of juice.

For a battery-less flashlight, I would recommend sku 3383 instead, though it doesn't fit that well on the keyring.

Bottomline: This product is cheap - but not much useful as I see it.  Obviously there are different views about it, since it got such a high rating.

Pros: * Makes light!

* Never runs out of juice.

* Cool factor.

* Comes precharged.

* lasts for a reasonable time.

* It's smaller then you think

Cons: * handle looks fragile.

* power switch looks even more fragile.

* Makes a lot of noise when charging.

* I wouldn't go cave exploring with it (or without it for that matter).

Bottomline: * Bought three(!) more, cheap and useful.

* Why are you reading a review about a flash light???, just buy the damned thing already!

Pros: Compact design. Fold able crank. A few spins can last more than 10 mins (i am actually waiting for the light to die, its been more than ten minutes). Very light. Good arc and power for such small gadget.

Cons: Plastic cover makes the paint fade in time. If the crank is used harsh, it can be broken. It's obviously cheap plastic.

Other Thoughts: It's a sweet price for such effective gadget.

Bottomline: This is a useful gadget with low price and compact size. A few swings and you are definitely getting light for more than ten minutes. Yes it's made from cheap plastic but who cares, just be careful when you are yanking the crank and you will love it. I am going to order a lot more of this. Great gift for buddies.
