Ownership verified by DX Summary of cool features and glicthes
Posted by Gurunath on 7/13/2008
Involvement: Expert (understands the inner workings) - Ownership: 1 week to 1 month

Price: starstarstarstar
Ease of Use: starstarstar
Build Quality: starstar
Usefulness: starstarstarstarstar
Overall Rating: starstarstarstar

Pros: Noticiably Cool Features:
- Stylish Look
- Light weight
- Key pad on wrist
- USB port for ear phones, charging battery, data transfer.
- Touch screen and stylus
- User Interface looks ok.
- SMS Chat Room.
- Camera continous shots vary from 1, 3 and 5
- Call recorder records conversation.
- Background play of music and FM radio.
- Video player with option to full screen play is awesome and supports .3gp files.
- Advanced Stop Watch features.
- E-book reader is nice with good features.
- Flightmode that switches OFF signals.
- Inflexion to change voice while calling.

Cons: Technical Glitches (hope we get a new firmware with bug fixes):
- Press and Holding * key on the keypad doesn't lock the phone.
- Pressing the right side down button always takes to the home menu. Instead, it should take back to previous screen.
- Cannot navigate among Home menu items with the left side buttons.
- Cannot navigate among playlist and a song settings with the left side buttons.
- Cannot navigate in the settings of bluetooth in the video player with the left side buttons.
- Cannot navigate in the options of FM radio with the left side button.
- Changing Color LED style while playing the song doesn't reflect. It comes to play only after changing the song.
- Video's audio doesn't pair with bluetooth though it shows animation of sending the audio stream to bluetooth.
- what is the difference between None and 1 shot in continous shots mode of camera??
- Preset Auto Settings in the FM radio doesn't save the tuned stations to the list.
- FM radio is not pairing with bluetooth.
- Latitude Longitude intersection shown in the World Clock is way pretty incorrect. For Vancover it shows somewhere in Antartica.
- Currency Converter doesn't allow to change the currency name. And the currency name cannot be customized.
- Spelling mistake in the "close" color LED options in the settings. what is this "income" in color LED? Should be "User Defined" instead of "User Define"
- what is the file format for the user defined animation pictures?
- Flight mode doesn't restrict to play FM radio, it is a defect. Can play FM radio in flight mode?
- Inflexion audition is not playing the correct voice profile selected.
- Stereo Bluetooth Headset: It redials only the last dialed call, but doesn't allow to select from the list of dialed calls, though we have the required navigation keys on the bluetooth.

Other Thoughts: Not Cool:
- Cheap plastic body material and chain links.
- Button to make call is slightly inside, it should be normal.
- Phone book Search Entry doesn't have next entry search to continue searching.
- There is NO common button to select OK when a number is not assigned to the menu item, we need to use the touch screen. Example: In GPRS. Editing and Finished.
- There is no customization to change the animation of busy, information, error, prompt, etc...
- No skins to change the themes.
- Loud speaker on watch is of poor quality.
- Video recording doesn't have the setting to turn of the LCD screen.
- Camera on phone should go little higher.
- Zoom is just x1 to x1.2 in the video.
- No zoom in the Camera mode.
- Image viewer doesn't have any navigation to move next or previous in the full screen.
- Cannot go back to Call Settings while the Call is being recorded. There is no option.
- Calender background pic stays same for everymonth (is it christmas time every month?)
- There is no "mm/dd/yyyy" date format.
- Only Women and Lady voice inflexion sounds realistic, rest of them sound robotic.
- There is support to download java applications. I thought to install a e-mail client that can connect to pop3/smtp server. But a big No to this feature in the watch phone.

Bottomline: Yeah! it is a great new modern product. I strongly recommend for anyone to buy it.
Manufacturer should provide the firmware updates. I would definetly like to market more of these pieces both in USA and India. Good luck!

Pros: This is my first watch/mp3 phone. The packaging is a nice black box with a red lid, with all the accesories in the bottom compartment which fell apart.
This thing actually work as a mobile phone and the reception quality is OK. The included bluetooth headset also works, the speech quality is decent.
The included TF card (or is it MicroSD?) contained several .3gp trailers.

Cons: The strap is of poor quality and will very soon fall apart. (hey! it's a mobile phone after all!)
Only the English interface can be used because the interface was poorly translated into other languages I can understand.

Other Thoughts:

Bottomline: Well, don't expect stellar performance from this product. It's just a very small mobile phone on a wrist strap :)
