Pros: Feels solid and has nicely turned screw-in bezel and tail. Bright, but not THAT bright. Good light with decent throw and wide spread. Slight blue tinge to light.
Cons: Not as well-made as a Romisen. Internal finishes are a bit disappointing given the excellent exterior. Not a pocket EDC and some pronounced battery rattle from oversized barrel. O-rings not lubricated and no lanyard or holster provided. Some minor imperfections in the reflector.
Other Thoughts: Akthough it's quite bright it's definitely not as bright as RC-F4 GITD (also 2x CR123). MTE's quality control not great if this is the standard of product that leaves the factory.
Bottomline: Overall this is a good, but not excellent, flashlight. For the price I would expect the quality to be a bit better and also a lanyard and holster to be provided.
Pros: Build quality is great.Bright.Nice throw.Enough spill to light a room.Clicky works well.Great runtime.
Cons: None.
Other Thoughts: I like the two modes. The low mode is low enough to save battery life, and still light up what's in front of you. Perfect light for clearing a room.
Bottomline: I have mounted this on my Shotgun, along with a "JG4 Red Laser Sku#2602". Great for home defense.
Pros: Very well built and efficient.
Cons: the low mode is a little bit too strong, but it's not a real problem.
Other Thoughts: I had a 10W K2 flashlight (sku 852) which was really good. It has exactly the same body, but the switch is better on the MTE: on the K2, sometimes it was blocked. On the MTE, it is perfect.
Bottomline: very good choice
Pros: Build quality is excellent, unlike some other flashlights from here -- it's been dropped a lot of times, got wet (though not submerged), generally beat around, and it still works perfectly. Light is _very_ bright and a nice even throw.
Cons: Uses 123 batteries, not AA/etc, but rechargeables work fine.
Bottomline: Great flashlight -- not quite pocketsized, but for a lot of light in a small package for DIY/etc, it's ideal.
