Ownership verified by DX Pretty Good

Involvement: Expert (understands the inner workings) - Ownership: less than 1 day

Price: starstarstarstarstar
Ease of Use: starstarstarstar
Build Quality: starstarstar
Usefulness: starstarstarstarstar
Overall Rating: starstarstarstar

Pros: -Sound is good
-Easy to set up
-Holds phone very securely

Cons: -Has a tendency to swivel in the socket, causing the entire thing to come crashing down

Other Thoughts: This unit works very well, easily better sounding than the Belkin Tunebase. The only issue I had was that it swivelled in the socket when going around corners. I fixed this by hot-glueing it in place. I have an old car so am not too fussed by this, and I dont think it causes any damage, but new car owners may not want to do this.
Also, I did not experience any clicking or beeping with this unit, perhaps they have fixed the new batch of them?

Bottomline: Fantastic quality, one of the best sounding transmitters I have used. Only drawback is it cant hold itself up, but is easily fixed with some DIY.

Pros: Holds iPhone well. Easy to change frequencies to optimise reception.

Cons: Poor sound quality...worse than other pod type transmitters I have. OK for spoken word, pretty poor for music.
Flimsy construction which I as sure will not be durable.
Have to plug in recharge plug and headphone plug everytime I get into the car...why not use the line out feed from the bottom socket?
Falls over on taking corners...hate to think the stresses going into my 12v socket

Other Thoughts: Saw this recommended on Whirlpool forums, so thats why I purchased.
Would not recommend.

Bottomline: Still loking for the perfect FM solution for my iPhone. I suspect a new head unit will prove my only option.

Pros: - I like the price
- When it worked, i had no problem with either of the functions.

Cons: - it feels and really is cheap quality, it worked for a couple of weeks, then the 12V plug broke.
- Hard to get the iphone in the right angle/direction (if you move the holder too much, you can easily break the plug)
- The handsfree part didn`t work very well

Other Thoughts: Be aware of the placement of the 12V input in your car, maybe this product won`t fit very well.

Bottomline: Put some quality into this kind of product, and i will happily pay a bit more:)

Ownership verified by DX its cheap i guess

Pros: -cheap
-holds your iphone/ipod so you can text while driving and crash into a pole.
-recharges your iphone/ipod and transmits!

Cons: -no power off button
-interference
-sometimes swivels but mostly stays in place.

Other Thoughts: I saw this in the impulse section of Best Buy for $50. Right away I knew I could find a cheaper version online.
I've had this unit for awhile now, but as soon as I got it I plugged my iPhone3g into it and immediately a bit of plastic fell out. I think it was a limiter, to limit how far the grips can go, but it seems to work fine without it. Maybe its supposed to fall off, as the other piece fell out a few days later.
Getting the iphone in is a tight squeeze.
I use the highest station I can find, 107.1, it seems to get less interference.
With the power/transmitter plug connected, if you make a phone call, it will not relay to the speakers. You have to press speakerphone on the iPhone or connect the 2.5 cable on top.
As everyone else said, there still is interference. Basically, if my iphone has a good charge, I'll just use the audio cable. If it is running low, then I use the jack on the bottom.
Another con is that there doesnt seem to be a way to turn the unit off. So you get a superbright blue LED on the bottom and the amber station display on top on all the time.
I expect to use this for a little while more until Alpine makes a good x305 deck.

Bottomline: works, but beware the cons. if you can deal with this (its not that bad) its a good deal.
