Pros: Overall a good product. It magnifies like it should and with a clear picture. Easy to use and a lot of fun! My friends and I can amuse ourselves for hours with this thing.Great for looking at trichs!
Cons: The build quality. My unit's focus wheel gets really loose at the end. This causes the lens to drop and not stay put. Overall a minor problem and the only one.
Other Thoughts: I would easily pay $20-30 for this product. Like another reviewer said you could easily just order several and keep them handy in case one breaks.
Bottomline: Does everything you expect it to and at a low price.
Pros: easy to usevery bright LEDbatteries includedstorage case60x to 100xlooks great
Cons: the focus wheel is a bit tight to turn, this may be good or bad depending on your use and preferences. its good for slow focus but sometimes its a bit difficult specially if you dont have a steady surface.
Other Thoughts: very impressed with the led performance, its very bright.uses 3 button cell batteries type LR1130 aka G10. again this can be good or bad. for me i would rather it use AA or AAA but since dx sells g10 cheap its no big deal.
Bottomline: very impressed with this at the cost. it works great, 60x is impressive and gives you a wider view range, 100x is super amazing close up. i cannot talk this up too much, im thinking of getting some for friends. its very fun but its not relaly a toy, it works amazingly.
Pros: That's amazing how this little thing can be so powerfull! The image quality is very clear with the bright LED. I use it to examine everything that my eyes just cannot see. It's amazing how surprising it is. It's able to use from 60x to 100x with very good adjust of focus. The magnification from 60x to 100x is perfectly clear and does this little microscope even more versatile.
Cons: The plastic basic material doesn't make this product the most impressive microscope. It can be a bit fragile for the careless. Because it's monocular, the constant use with only one of the eyes can cause some visual discomfort.
Other Thoughts: No problems on focusing even in 100x magnification. Perfect for checking the most little insects.
Bottomline: I've already bought three of these ones. It's a highly recommend deal!
Pros: Great scope. We have been using this nearly none stop to examine the tiny world around us. A big pro is the ability to focus beyond the end of the clear end cap. This allow you to focus on specimens on the back side of microscope slides (focusing through the glass). As others have pointed out the optical quality is excellent. I once had a similar scope and the optics were terrible. The LED light is very bright.
Cons: The quality of the scope is ok but I worry about the on/off switch. The focus dials are stiff making the scope hard to focus. At the lower power this isn't a big deal because the good depth of focus at the higher power it's more of a problem. But what do you expect for under $10?
Other Thoughts: This is a great buy for anyone interested in the amazing microscopic world in which we live. It will be great to take hiking and backpacking to look at rocks, bugs, water, fingernails, etc.
Bottomline: Will be ordering 2-3 more.
