Pros: - Great for DIY projects, since is easy to dismount it- You can take out the IR filter easily- Don´t need much expertise to open- Great to test the Wii IR bar- Great to some DIY projects- Good to take some spetacular macro pics
Cons: - Driver only for Windows- The cap in the lens is a focus limiter- Sometime is hard to focus where you want- The base is not heavy enough to hold any cam position
Other Thoughts: - When used in the limit to take some macro pics you need to take some patience to be able to focus where you want.- When you take out the IR filter, in dark rooms the image will only be in grayscale
Bottomline: - Great webcam to make some DIY project- Price is not so good to spent on several DIY projects
Pros: It is very easy to use, comes with software. i was a bit afraid my 64bit machine would not ran it, but it worked at the very first try. Has many things to play with ( i mean, the software ), with several ways to record and process the image.Well constructed, solid item, and very good quality of image at night, with the leds.
Cons: if you expect this item to record paris hilton night videos it is not what i would buy. the infrared work, but it is not a night vision camera. you have to be very close to the webcam to be seen...so it is much usefull to just turn on the led lights which i just said are very bright ( and i mean VERY)
Other Thoughts: So...great webcam for a good good price. you can't get this quality price range in my city unless its robbed!just kiddingwell done, and an item to recommend to my friends

Pros: - Very heavy;- Very strong;- Have IR ;D- It's base holds the cam well;- Very cheap;- The image is very clear;- Sound captured with the microfone is clear aswell.
Cons: - Maybe could be cheaper, but the price is already nice;- Also I don't like its style, in my opinion it could cooler if it were made in square shape.
Other Thoughts: I am using this everday to talk with my family and they really aprove this cam, it´s very top for the price I paid.
Bottomline: Probably the best webcam that I can get witouth spending tons of money.
Pros: It works.It doesn't have an IR filter.
Cons: The "Night Vision" is what sold me on this webcam, and I was rather disappointed by the IR lights. It doesn't illuminate more than a foot. It's basically useless... Perhaps it helps a little when chatting in the dark, but my laptop's LCD screen provides more light than the IR. You can barely notice any difference with the IR lights on and the IR off when chatting in a dark room.Poor linux support. None from the manufacturers. http://groups.google.com/group/microdia provides linux drivers. On linux I was only able to capture 640x480@30. I couldn't get it to change resolution or framerate.
Other Thoughts: The linux driver group (http://groups.google.com/group/microdia) is active in making improvements to the driver.
Bottomline: Knowing what I do now, I probably would have gone with a cheaper webcam. Yet, it works well. And, if you have external IR lights it could be more useful. (I do believe DX sells IR lights/flashlights/LEDs)
