Pros: A good 1gb flashcart for GBA. I bought it for the english Mother 3 (I own the official Japanese Mother 3 as well!)Loads most gba games, except ones that use the real clock function (ex. pokemon games)
Cons: What a pain it was to get this to work. The software from the website, kept giving me errors when I tried to load games onto the eLink.The software on the mini CD that came with the eLink did not work at first. I had to take the files off the disc, and rename the elink program to "elink.exe". After I did that, that software worked. And I was able to load games onto the eLink. (finally!)
Other Thoughts: My first eLink came defective. It did not load in my DS or GBA at all. It did not even come with the mini CD.The replacement I got loaded on my DS and GBA. And it came with the mini CD. But only worked with the software that was on the mini CD that came in the box. The software on the elink website did not work for me, it gave me errors. (ex. Link error 006, Link error 002)
Bottomline: Get it if you want to play games on a actual DS or GBA system.Make sure to use the software on the mini CD. That was the only way I got mine to work.
Pros: -Can save, on flash memory, more than 10 games.-Nice eLink software, downloadable on www.gbaelink.com.-Real time save is just the best feature on this cart. Allows you to save the game whenever you want.
Cons: -Can't play the Kingdom Hearts rom.-Sometimes the burning to the flash cart saves defective games, so you have to erase the rom and try again.
Other Thoughts: My cart come defective. It can't play the bigger roms, like Kingdom Hearts (occupies 1/4 of memory).
Bottomline: Buy this if you have and old GBA on you drawer and had stopped playing it for a long time.This will revive your GBA.
Pros: Works with all the GBA titles we tried.Fits perfectly into Slot 2 on our SP and Nintendo DS.
Cons: Clumsy software interface (eg. cannot select a ROM to delete, can only delete the last ROM or remove them all).Not a lot of documentation - none in the box, and the official website doesn't have much either.
Other Thoughts: Search gbatemp.net for a review with good instructions. Be aware there is an English website, in addition to the Chinese one as printed on the cartridge. Details in the review on gbatemp.net.
Bottomline: Works well, seems reasonable quality.
