Pros: 1) Price
2) Versatility
3) Packaging
4) Easy to use.
Cons: 1) The leads are very flimsy and will break under any stress.
2) There's no specification sent with the laser.
3) They are listed as 5 mA lasers, if you run these at 5mA, the light is so dim you might as well not even run it.
Other Thoughts: This product would be helped a lot by putting up a full spec sheet. Nobody wants to get this at home and not know the specifications and try to figure out the appropriate voltage/resistances that won't kill the laser.
Bottomline: They are like a buck 50, if you want to prototype a quick little laser build, they are perfect.

Pros: Very good price, great for diy projetcts like alarms or toys, pointing etc type uses. Runs fine at low currents (20-30mA) Heatsink is brass. Buy more than one to know how to use.
Cons: Did not come with any kind of specs, look fragile. Putting 4.5 volts into it will almost certainly burn it out. Use a resistor to control de current. Really says 6mm, but is 6.5mm.
Other Thoughts: The packet cold be better with a spec o some instructions for new users to use this without burning it out.
Bottomline: A good product at a good price. A great bargain.
Great for the price

Pros: Really cheap (here in Mexico you can't even find these, and if you did they would cost around $10)
Seems to be more than 5mW
Current-limiting resistor included in the board (just plug into a couple AAs)
Cons: Not focusable
Gets slightly hot after a few minutes (this is normal but some may find it unusual)
Wires are very brittle
Other Thoughts: Many people get confused with the current-limiter resistor, fortunately this (at least mine) have the resistor included. I have found this very useful
Maybe I will start reselling these
Bottomline: You can't beat the price
Cheap little diodes

Pros: Inexpensive, great for pointing etc type uses. Did not come with any kind of specs, but runs fine at low currents (20-30mA) Heatsink is brass.
Cons: Well, it's about what I would expect for the price - they are DAB type diodes mounted to a chunk of brass. Not capable of high outputs, but good enough for most simple things.
Other Thoughts: Don't bother with a constant current regulator. I simply used a current limit resistor and they work fine. No problems with odd modes - what do you expect?
Bottomline: Ehh.. Worth it for what I was expecting. Not terribly exciting, but great for simple laser projects.
