Ownership verified by DX Not very good
Posted by Freakazodiak on 7/26/2009
Involvement: Novice (still getting used to it) - Ownership: more than 1 month

Price: starstarstar
Ease of Use: starstar
Build Quality: starstarstar
Usefulness: starstar
Overall Rating: starstar

Pros: +Can unlock phone without the need for any unlock code
+Cheap (if it works)

Cons: -Need to cut sim
-Repeated insertion will break of the chip from the plastic eventually
-Does not work with 5310 and E51 ( both with up to date firmware)

Other Thoughts: I guess it doesnt work with many more Nokia Phones since the update can make the card useless.
On some phones it might appear it works but after a while the phone can lose network and its troublesome to reset the phone.

Bottomline: Good enough for old phones and GSM chips. Not recommended for end 2008/2009 phone and updated phones.

Ownership verified by DX It works (kinda)

Overall Rating: starstarstarstarstar

Pros: It allows you to access your Mobile Telephone (cellphone) with a SIM (subscriber identity module) that is not the same provider as your Mobile Telephone is locked to

Cons: It didn't work with any 3G cards I tried, It let me past the sim screen, but would nor t connect to any network.
It works with 2G cards only, despite the description.

Other Thoughts: You will need to cut your sim card if you have one that slides in

Bottomline: It's not too bad for the price, but I was disappointed about the lack of it working with 3G sim cards

Ownership verified by DX it didn't work

Overall Rating: star

Pros: the price is low, so you can give it a chance and try out if it unlocks your mobile phone or not

Cons: I have a nokia mobile phone, locked to network "3" Italy. this item didn't unlock the phone to other networks. I tried it also on a nec phone (network "3") and it didn't work either.

Other Thoughts: you have to cut your sim card to have the unlocker fit inside the phone and stick to sim card. the price is low, so you can give it a chance and try out if it unlocks your mobile phone or not

Bottomline: no instructions inside of how to use the unlocker, you have to guess it.

Ownership verified by DX Works great on HTC Fuze

Pros: Tested with Samsung t819, HTC Fuze, Sony Ericsson w300, Palm Centro, and Samsung Blackjack II. This device worked on all aforementioned phones. Very simple to use, simply insert SIM card unlock attachment between phone and SIM card and voila! It's worth the price and best yet, you won't risk voiding warranty for changing the firmware or software on your phone.

Cons: Only con is that I fear that this thing may snap or break under too much pressure, which is the case when used with the Sony Ericsson phone. From what I recall there was more than enough room with other phones.

Other Thoughts: We bought two of these SIM Card Unlock Attachments for use in Mexico. One was already sent with a phone for my mother in law, and the other will be used by me in July with my HTC Fuze (At&t phone). I can verify that this works great with Windows Mobile 6.1. Not sure if this works with iPhone, but I'm sure this questions has been most likely posted on the forum.

Bottomline: I am very pleased with this device. Rather than paying $20 (minimum) to have my Fuze unlocked at a cell shop and risk voiding the warranty, I can bypass all the nonsense and do it myself, risk free, at a fraction of the cost. Very worth the purchase.

1. Cut a square hole on your sim card the same size as the chip on the Turbo Sim, remember this area that you are cutting will not damage the chip as it contains no needed components.  your sim will still work perfectly well in other phones without using the turbo sim.
.
2. Once the hole is made, clip the sim card onto the turbo sim and insert it into your iPhone.  Job Done !!
