Pros: Two separate channels Easy to use No bulky charger Good loadcurrent (2 x 1A) Led indication of charging (red) and ready (green)
Cons: The charger wouldn't load in bay one, the LED kept green. After measuring the voltage it a gave 0 volts. After opening the charger I saw that the negative pole wasn't properly connected. Some solder on the connection solved the problem.
Other Thoughts: Good charger but the quality control could be better
Bottomline: Cheap no nonsense charger, does what it has to do.
Pros: - Two separate channels - Price/quality-ratio - Cool & quiet - Green leds turn on exactly at 4,2v, but I haven't tried if the charger continues to charge after that.
Cons: - Euro power plug was recklessly assembled. I had to bend the spikes first to make the plug fit to wall connector. Then I noticed, that the power cord was damaged. Cable conductors were not visible, but the cable insulation had a deep scratch. I presume the scratch was born when the plug was molded and the power cable went between the mold plates. I need to change the cable for safety reasons.
Other Thoughts: I haven't seen a charger before which burns green leds when charging is ready and even if the batteries are not in place. The leds are very bright, but that is good to pay attention to charger.
Bottomline: If I won't count problems with power plug & cord, this is good product. But I'm scared, that product quality control is so weak, that the damaged power cable passed it. There is no playing with 230V main voltage - therefore only 2 star of build quality.
Pros: Quiet... makes no noise at all.Unit stays cool.Mine charges initially at 0.93amps on a flat cell.As the cell approaches fully charged, the charging current drops off (as would be expected) to approx 0.1A.Cells become moderately hot during the initial part of charge cycle, but cool of towards the end.Takes quite a while to get the last 5% of the charge into the cells because the charging current drops off, but does fully charge them to the correct voltage (4.20Volts) at which point the respective led changes from Red to Green to indicate that charging is completed. Two independant charging slots so charging two cells with different charge levels/capacities is possible.
Cons: None that I have found
Other Thoughts:
Bottomline: Cheap construction, but appears to work well and is nicely priced.
Pros: The two charge channels are separate, each charges at 1A constant current rate when battery terminal voltage in channel 1 is less than 2.8V, and 4.0V in Channel 2. When placing the charger upright with the LED's at the bottom, the left position I called channel 1, and the other ch2 arbitrarily.Above this threshold, the charger behaves like a constant voltage sources of 4.236V throught a limiting resistor of 1.1 ohm in channel 1, and 2.0 ohm in channel 2.Channel 1 starts charging at 0.0V (1A+), and Ch2 not until above 0.6V.One special use for me is to combine both ch1 and ch2 to become a 2A charger for large Li-On cell. Both would not charged if cells are loaded in reverse polarity (thank goodness!)
Cons: It is weird to have two channel separate but different. Can't tell whether it is a faulty design or a feature.Anyway, 1. charging at constant current without bringing it to say 2.5V at triggle charge risk damaging the Li-On as is recommended.2. The charger does not cut off after reaching 4.22 Volt. I suggested a AC timer be used to cut off power after say 2 hrs. or 30 minutes after the lighs goes green, if remove them.3. Avoid using it to charge other size battery. The rest are of smaller capacities and may be damaged.
Other Thoughts: This item look similar to sku 6105 externally except my is Euro plug which a bought wrongly and have to use a round pin to flat pin adaptor. This one called 'OEM' charger while sku6105. Might it be mine is OEM prototype not accepted?
Bottomline: It doesn't matter as it works beautifully. The strong contact springs are definitely plus whcih ensure good contact. This will be my work horse for years
