Bottomline: This is being used with Shure earphones that cost £180 and it's made them so much better! It's purely because there was no bass before. Now there's the perfect amount. Don't get me wrong. This will not added bass to tracks that doesn't have any. But it will add warth to everything. Saying that you do lose detail as a result. I doubt people with cheaper headphones would be able to tell though.
Pros: - Easy of use- It increases the volume up to a 30%-40%- Low battery consumption- Good quality
Cons: - It uses AAA batteries, not integrated Li-ion battery- It doesn't improve the sound quality; It only raises the volume even you use a line-out (instead of headphone output)- It has not an ON/OFF swith so you have to disconnect the headphones jack in order to turn off it.
Other Thoughts: Nothing special
Bottomline: You must remember to specify the colour (black or white) you want. I forgot to do this and I've recived a white one while I prefered a black one.
Pros: - Good build quality.- Extremelly small, one of the smallest headphone amps in the market.- Slight volume boost. Not as much as other amps but noticeable.- Good SQ. Nice bass boost, tightenns the bass a bit, improves soundstage on some phones.- Cheap as hell!! can't go better price/quality.
Cons: - Lack of on/off switch- Lack of volume control- SQ very dependant on the phones you are using (sinergy with some phones is terrible)
Other Thoughts: I'm willing to buy the new E5 as it will have al the cons I listed solved, hope it retains the incredible price.

Pros: Even tinier than expectedLow priceSignificantly increased sound quality when using headphones (at least with my Shure E2, Beyerdynamic DT511 aned even the Koss Portapro)Battery lasts a long timeEven packaging is one of the best I've seen for cheap Chinese products.
Cons: Should have a power switch (have to disconnect headphones)Could have a volume knob (although I don't really miss one, always having it connected to a computer or ipod)Culd be USB-powered to avoid having to go recharge the battery every other day.
Other Thoughts: If you use headphones on a regular basis, I would strongly recommend this.
