Powerful sound from small package

Pros: Compare to other speaker that are of the same size, this speaker is quite powerful.

It has a SD slot and acts as an mp3 player, although i usually just use it for its speaker.

The bass is pretty good for a small speaker.

Price is reasonable.

Cons: Hard to control. Buttons are not intuitive and doesn't response that well.

Other Thoughts: I dropped it 1 foot above the ground and it stopped working. I guess it's really my fault. Although I was expecting to be a little bit more durable.

Bottomline: Powerful speaker. Good for its price. But not as durable as I hope. I guess it's a good deal as long as you take good care of it.

Pros: -Portable
-Easy to connect to a variety of sources 
-SD card makes a portable MP3 player
-Well designed and attactive -- not cheap looking.
 
Cons: Nada.
 
Other Thoughts: Have been using this player for the past 6 months and it has been dependable. Fills a room with good quality sound. 
What I found is that this speaker is very versatile -- attached to a PC or as a laptop speaker, or a portable MP3 player. 
Nice Feature: when playing off the SD card, one can stop the player and return to the same song on power-up.
 
Bottomline: Recommend it

Pros: This is a versatile amplifier/speaker which can be used with various audio sources - from a small radio or an ipod to a PC.
The SD slot allows to use it as a standalone player without a display. This player is able to read all types of MP3s, with filenames in various languages (UNICODE).
The controls are very basic.
Flexibility in power source - 2xAA or any USB battery.
Plastic support on the lanyard.
Wow, it's VERY loud on max.
 
Cons: Volume control is rather slow to tune up/down.
Power switch is via a button, not a regular switch - it's OK for the ipod-generation but not for old-school users.
The lanyard is too short - definitely not for adult hands.
 
Other Thoughts: The built quality is superior but the short lanyard spoil the high mark.
 
Bottomline: A small carry-everywhere boombox.

Pros: -Very good price.
-Very simple to use.
-Feels very robust, can probably take some rough handling.
-Good sound.
-Can play loud without sounding bad. (Of course the bass is not to loud, but it does not "crack")
 
Cons: -Slow reaction on the buttons.
 
Other Thoughts: -A high-volume connector for PC-speakers would be nice.
-Its crazy that DealExtreme require 500 characters in a review...
 
Bottomline: Perfect if you are the annoying person who like to play music on hostel-rooms, tents, parks or any other place with no electricity.
