Ownership verified by DX Fantastic torch but a few issues

Pros: Have had this torch for a few months now and have found it be very bright and reliable for daily work use-is light with handy clip to attach to your clothing.However...

Cons: -Tail on / off swich is sometimes unreliable with a mind of its own!
Emitter may not have a long life-know of two failures after 1-2 months life

Other Thoughts: Sort the reliability issues out or have i bought some dud torches!

Bottomline: Have had this torch for a few months now and have bought a few for friends-mostly without issue.
The only problem i find revolve around build quality.
I use the torch on a daily basis for varying lengths of use-mostly without issue. However,i find that the tail on /off switch is a bit weak and sometimes switches itself on without warning and stays on.
I have found that the emitter(bulb) does not have a long life on these torches-sometimes only lasting a month or so.
Will have to see how this continues-all in all though-fantastic item but may have reliability issues.

Pros: -Sturdy
-Bright
-Clipon
-Strobe
-All metal
So far water resistant.

Cons: -Could use glass instead of plastic on the lens
-Mode switch are a bit sensitive, it can swap modes very easily if you accidently touch the button harder than a "mosquito" would land.

Other Thoughts: Bought this one just to see how it fit on my gun mount, that I use for my G3 rifle.
Fit like a glove, depending on how I attached the mount.

Bottomline: Here in Norway, you can get alot of cheap plastic flashlights that works well for 5 minutes or so before they break, and they ain't even very bright.
This flashie have them all beat, and all that at a price that isn't so much higher than the average "plastic" you can get around here.
So far, after testing, I can see this one survive with me in the woods(National Guard duties) for a long time to come... And the gadgetheads in my platoon will be pestering me about where to get this flashlight.

Pros: i've purchased eight of the 5-mode r2 c1's and five on the c1 one-mode q5 units over the past couple of months, so i like them. very bright although i don't see where the r2 is any brighter than the single mode q5 version of the c1. the five modes work correctly, as does the memory. on high mode it keeps up with my fenix tk-10 as far as throw and brightness. included are o-rings and grease at the right places. it seems equally as bright on two cr123's vs one 18650.

Cons: it's necessary to remove loose threads through out the light. two of the eight didn't work because the outer spring of the drop in couldn't make contact due to poor machining which didn't remove the plating of the body properly. easy fix.

Other Thoughts: a state trooper friend really liked the fast strobe setting. he said that was a necessary setting for building entry in a hostile situation.

Bottomline: it's a decent light. i wish dx would improve their packaging since some get scratched during shipping.
