Pros: Plenty of light. I have found that the Vf is sorpresively lower than i espected. For the work i have used the two ones i have purchased (a bike, dynamo, powered frontlight), they are perfect.

Cons: The dome is rubber like. Really not a DX con, the units provided by seoul are this like.

Other Thoughts: none.

Bottomline: A note for DX: I think there is some chances of doing business with some bike dynamo driven light. There are almost no models in the market and at no atractive prices. I think is very convenient if they are "standlight" capable. That means it is capable of run some minutes in a stop, thanks to a set of ultracapacitors.

Pros: I got 10. All correct polarity. All perfectly white, spotless lenses. They were individually bubble wrapped.

Cons: Only thing I can think of is soft lens. Dust sticks to it, but can be wiped off carefully. the dome is not as soft as i thought. It can be wiped off without special equipment, just a wet soft cloth.

Other Thoughts: I put 5 of them on a heat sink and wired them in series. I took temp readings with an infrared thermometer, here are the numbers after 20 minutes on:
31.6 degrees(C) about 89.4 degrees (F) on heat sink (this thing is huge(23.0cmx14.5cm and 2cm thick with fins)
With regulated power supply at 17.16v it drew 840ma. (14.41W)total
vf of the 5 leds were as follows:
1: 3.46v (2.91W)
2: 3.37v (2.83W)
3: 3.40v (2.85W)
4: 3.48v (2.92W)
5: 3.40v (2.85W)
I don't believe in over-driving led's to squeeze out that last handful of lumens. That is why I didn't feed them 1000ma. :)
hope this info helps.

Bottomline: Top quality leds
As long as you know what you're doing, buy some to play with
Don't over-drive them. If you look at some graphs you notice these things just turn the extra amps into heat past one point. As long as you keep them cool they will last a lifetime. If you want more lumens use more leds, or wait for next year's models.

Pros: Bright and really really really white. I do not know if I lucked out or what, but the tint is the color of fresh snow and makes my other lights that I thought were white look like various other tints

Cons: None that i can think of. straight forward swap for a LUX III and much more output. I used this in my old Nuwai tm301-x3 with a SKU 3256 driver board (and some creative assembly) and now have a light that I can be proud of again.

Other Thoughts: This was a fairly simple swap and now I am eyeing all of my other LUX III lights and even eyeing a few online that are going for cheap to upgrade and hot rod.

Bottomline: This unit may turn me into a mod junkie.
