Pros: Decent price. Works, but not "right" for my application. Read below.
Cons: Purchased after reading it would fit a SF G2, thought it would fit my SF G2Z. "Not". The base is too wide to allow the bulb to fully seat in the body. Even with the outer spring removed, or reversed as recommended here. This leaves a gap between the head and the body.
Other Thoughts: Would have been great if it fully worked. Next order might try another module set like SKU:1343 and see if that works in my SF G2Z.
Bottomline: If you have one of the SF models that others have verified to work, this would be a good deal. For my case, it didn't fully work out. For the price, I'm not upset about it.
Pros: Dropped right in my G2 when outer spring was removed. No gap and is brighter than the p60 65 lumen bulb it replaced and brighter than the G2L 80 lumen led.
Cons: Inner spring is a bit too long but there still is no gap between head and body.
Other Thoughts: Excellent value for the money and outlasts P60 replacement bulbs and costs less in price and effeciency.
Bottomline: I'd get this 1447 drop in again. I have had no problems with mine as some others have noted. The color is pure white with a small tinge of yellow blue.
Pros: Very clean and bright light, beam projects like a spotlight, batteries last forever.
Cons: Required removal of the outer spring, shortening of the inner spring, and grinding down of the metal on the outside circumference of the part that contacts the battery in order to fit. Then the first time I dropped it (from a mere distance of about 1.5 feet) it broke. When I opened it up to look at it, the hot glue (another example of low quality) was gooey from the heat the bulb produced, which may or may not have been part of the reason for the failure.
Other Thoughts: I'm just glad it didn't break when I needed it, just when I had my car door ripped apart in the middle of the night hooking up a speaker (still a lousy time for it to happen, especially since my backup flashlight was a pathetically weak single LED radioshack light).
Bottomline: I would not recommend this to anyone that's not willing to spend a fair amount of time installing it or that would use it in any situation that you cannot afford to have it fail. I would be hesitant to recommend to anyone else, just due to the annoyance factor of having your light break so easily, leaving you in the dark.
Pros: Good looking Cree and reflector. Good tight beam and good spill. Brighter than the stock bulb
Cons: Had to rewire to direct drive because circuit board was not working well. Removed spring and cut it short for good contact.
Bottomline: Good value for a Cree and reflector set. Versatile 3.6 to 9v from rechargeable to primaries.
