Pros: low power usage and theoretical bulblife.I don't have a light level meter, but to my untrained naked eye, it appears this gives out about the same light as a 60watt incandescent bulb.And considering that led light is directional, it has a pretty decent spread as well.Most definitely good as a desk lamp bulb or other focused/semi focused lighting need.Would need about 3 of these to produce enough light to replace 1 100 wattbulb as large area lighting though.
Cons: need 2 or 3 times as many bulbs to produce same amount of light I get with incandescents.
Other Thoughts: With this drawing even the full 5watts the description shows, you would only need about 15 watts to produce the same light output of a 100 watt incandescent.which translates to substantial savings on the electric bill.I figure if you replace a dozen lights with these, it shouldn't take longer than a yr to recoup your investment in lower electric bills.So if the bulbs last at least 2 or 3 years, they will be a good buy.I'll let you know in a couple of years if they hold up.
Bottomline: Good light and good price for the tech.I have seen similar bulbs elsewhere for 2 to 5 times more $.If you MUST have led lights DX is the place to get them
Pros: Great light and spread for average desk lamp use, and gives a very white output. Very straightforward to install and set up, and all the LED bulbs are working perfectly.
Cons: Not very useful for rooms, or any lights needed for larger areas. Also not very pleasant to look into, they're really bright.
Other Thoughts: Great for tabletops, not great for rooms.Packaging came in a semi-crushed paper box, inside a bubble envelope. This is probably why most people are having some LEDs DOA.
Bottomline: Would buy again.
Pros: It's bright enough for use in a desk lamp. It's well-built and I find the color of light to be acceptable.
Cons: The light is white with a slight bluish tinge. If you are accustomed to a yellowy incandescent then you might not like the color of light that this bulb produces.
Other Thoughts: I originally delayed my purchase of this LED light, primarily because of the numerous negative reviews both here and at other retail websites. Now that I own one I am very happy with it and I regret not buying one earlier. I hope it lasts.Also: My Kill-a-Watt meter says the bulb only uses 1 watt but I suspect it's a bit more.
Bottomline: Buy it.
Pros: this is a cool lightit is good for homeworkdoesn't get hot.Not too brightlooks coolgood quality
Cons: do not fit into it. The head was too wide, even though the screw part is fine. I had to get a different lamp housing.it is not good to let a whole room unless you have severallights isn't perfectly white, but has a hint of blue
Other Thoughts: it's a neat light and it's the right color of lights that I wanted for reading. Just be sure to know that it doesn't cast a lot of light
Bottomline: the this is a cool light so buy it if you want to buy it after reading my description
