Pros: It holds a flashlight tight, and does not drop it, at least on my commuter bike.
Cons: There is a swivel pin between the two locking clamps. This swivel allows for some rotation. This swivel also has a significant amount of play, causing the light to flop from side to side, or aim in the wrong direction. It's fixable but annoying.
Other Thoughts: The fix... I wrapped the swivel area with a couple of large rubber bands. This provides enough friction to keep things in place, mostly. I still have to adjust it frequently, but at least it isn't moving with every bump I hit.
Bottomline: Too bad DX never got the Fenix one in stock after 30+ days, I suspect it is better quality. I'll never know though, cancelled after much waiting.
Pros: Does what it is intended for. Fits my handlebar. Very compact.
Cons: Mounting process is quite long. It is not comfortable to screw it up, some clip mechanism could be better
Other Thoughts: Not very solid - I've broken one trying to adjust flashlight tilting angle. But it withstands bumps on uneven road confidently.
Bottomline: I think it's the best mount available here. This mounthttp://www.dealextreme.com/details.dx/sku.13004seems to be built better, but it's very wide and it will take a lot of place on your handlebars (or simply won't fit, as in my case).
Pros: Seems quite sturdy, shims included, good clamps, not too bulky. Not terribly expensive, but I'd buy several if they were a little cheaper.
Cons: Price a bit high, but does the job better than cheaper items. Don't need the 'swiveling' head feature, would prefer it was one piece.
Other Thoughts: I was actually pleasantly surprised with this mount and have paired it with both a sku 6083 (MXDL 3W) and sku 3607 (the Romisen RC-G2) and both fit very nicely using the included shim. Just depends on which battery you want to use, both are very nicely bright and tiny. Seems to fit lots of lights around that diameter.
Bottomline: Great mount, probably worth the money they're asking, quality built and functional.
Pros: + Holds well, bicycle and flashlight.+ stay firm attached after bumpy riding. + attractive price.+ slim design to fit between other accessories on the handle bar.
Cons: main screw tends to losen up after bumpy riding increasing thelooseness between the rotating top and bottom rings, causing the mount to be dismantled unwillingly.
Other Thoughts: The main screw needs improvement.I changed the mount by replacing the main screw with a thicker screw+nut, solving the losen up problem.
Bottomline: Excellent buy for the money, fits MTE SSC P7 flashlight.Wouldn't hesitate to buy another one.
