Pros: Build quality is above par for the price. The clamping section which mounts it to your bars is made pretty well / pretty strong. It does not look like it will fall apart. I did 11 miles mountain biking with it with a light mounted with no problems.
Cons: Could include a couple rubber spacers / shims for smaller lights. Not a big deal though.
Other Thoughts: At this price I would get more than one just in case you lose / break one. Who knows how long DX will have them in stock.
Bottomline: For the price this is the best mount I have bought from DX.
Pros: Cheap priceSturdy mountAccommodates a range of lights from 2-3cm diametersUses metal screws, unlike the SKU792 bracket which is all plastic.
Cons: A bit chunky - Compared to convetional bike lights with a built in bracket or quick release mounts, this one is much bigger than all the ones I have owned before. No side to side adjustment.
Other Thoughts: This is a good bracket that holds the light firmly, and raises it slightly, putting it in a good position for riding at night.
Bottomline: This is the best bracket for 2-3cm torches available on DX.
Pros: This is a universal bike mount made for the new style flashlights that hold CR123a, 18650, etc. style batteries. It fits very well on the handle bars of the ATV's and make it a lot brighter. It is very rugged for the price, and does not fall off with the rough terrain.
Cons: Some tail caps might have to be removed on flashlights to fit in properly, but can be put back on once it is in the holder.I can tell you there are no other problems with this bike mount at all.
Other Thoughts:
Bottomline: If you are looking for a fantastic handle bar mount for your bike, ATV, UTV, or any other application, this is the one you want.It is very sturdy, and made of good quality plastics. It does not break when you go to tighten the mount on the bar, or on the flashlight. It also does not move from the spot you put it, unlike other mounts.
Pros: Cheap adaptor to allow you to mount a torch as a bicycle light. With the ridiculous amount of cheap, powerful torches here on DX you can get yourself a really powerful bike light for a very cheap price. No tools required for use is handy so you can pull it off the bike and take it with you to stop scumbag thieves from thieving it when your bike is parked and locked.
Cons: Other users have reported the plastic is too brittle. It does seem to be pretty rigid but I haven't had a problem and I think with sensible/careful use it should last fine. If you are the heavy handed type who like to go ripping their torch out and smashing it back in the holder then maybe this isn't for you...
Other Thoughts: The only other alternative I could think of to mount a torch was a pair of hose clamps looped together in a figure 8 - one around the handle bar and one around the torch. The hose clamp option is cheap but ugly, a pain to fit and remove and can damage handle bars and torch.
Bottomline: Get one if you have the need, its cheap and it works.
