Pros: ++ BRIGHT. Easily lights up the entire car, backseat and the front.
++ Low power usage. I measured just over 130ma of current. Good for campers and trailers.
++ Easy to install. Three wires, and they are clearly marked.
++ Pure white light. Only the faintest hint of blue.
++ Did I mention that it was really, really bright?

Cons: - No dimmer. It would have been nice to have a 50% or a 25% mode for when you don't want to be blinded when you get in the car at night.
- Instant off. My car used to slowly dim the overhead light when you got into the car. This turns instantly off as soon as the door is closed.
- The switch for 'on' is kind of hard to find in the dark.
- Paint is kind of thin, and scratched off on one side.

Other Thoughts: Perfect for an electric vehicle or something that needs to save as much electricity as possible--like a camper or trailer. Solid state means there is no 'warm up time' like CCFL. And unlike CCFL there is no mercury in these lights. A very good light for the money.

Bottomline: If you need more light, less power usage, or just want to replace a light in an older car--get it. It also works great for a worklight for a closet or a workbench when connected to a 12v lantern battery. It will last forever with how little juice that this light takes.
