Pros: -Outputs a consistent 12.35v-Pretty cheap (and small) compared to alternatives
Cons: -The cord is a little thin, but then again, I've been using this to power a small segment of a 509 white led strip (found on DX) for an under-cabinet kitchen light. Considering its location and that I've had no problems of consistent use, this is more of an "FYI" than a con.
Other Thoughts:
Bottomline: Pretty good quality for the price and certainly works (so far!) I've not tested near the 1A output yet, but close to it enough that the power adapter gets a little warm (not hot).
Pros: Seemingly very good build quality. The wires are very soft, and the strain relief actually do the job for once...Pretty consistent voltage - around 12.15V
Cons: The prongs are not foldable, and they protrude quite a bit. So storage is sometimes troublesome
Other Thoughts: I bought it as a power source for my LED light, but ended up finding a variable-voltage adapter in my cabinet. so, now I have virtually no use for it.
Bottomline: Buy it if you have an application for it. It's cheap enough to even cut loose the wires, and build your own customized power line.
