Pros: Seems to work quite well. Unlike some other air ionizers DX carries, this one actually has filter plates. The dust gets trapped on the plates instead of falling all over the desk. The plates can be wiped clean very easily. Doesn't take up much space on the desk. There are also pet hamsters in the room. The purifier seems to also reduce the hamster smell.

Cons: Only came with a USB power adapter so the computer has to be on for the thing to have power. It comes with a "Power Booster" adapter which is required for it to work (since the thing needs 12V while USB is only 5V), but wasn't made permanently attached to the cable. A USB wall adapter can be used (like the ones made for iPods), but will still require the booster. Also, it could be less expensive.

Other Thoughts: The air that blows out of it smells like ozone (even though it doesn't state that it generates ozone). Ozone has a disinfecting effect which is a plus. I suppose a 12V AC adapter would also work. sku.15989 MIGHT work.

Bottomline: Nice little air purifier. A bit expensive for DX, but it seems to work well.
