Pros: The light output from this torch on high is amazing. It will light up an area 50 - 80 metres away with extremely good visability. The light spread is far wider than I expected it would be, but the beam still has enough centre concentration to shine a good distance. A floody light that is really good for lighting each side of a track in the night time, but will still penetrate 100 metres into the distance. If you look into the light you won't have any night vision for hours afterwards as this thing is soo bright. The lower settings of the 8 modes are very useful when you don't need a powerful light and really help to give good battery run time. On the second lowest light setting the torch is good for a couple of hours, but you are starting to loose some brightness. the torch is extremely well made with well formed threads that are very smooth.
Cons: Don't let young children play with it and shine it in eyes as it is extremely bright and, I believe, will damage eyes.
No cons at all, this torch is a top torch.
Other Thoughts: I would like to see an adaptor for this torch to allow it to be extended to take 2 x 18650 batteries. The extra runtime with minimal weight increase would make this torch a 3-4 hour proposition for night time use.
Bottomline: A really well made torch with with a wide range of output power. Low is excellent for when you only need a minimum of light, medium is as good as or better than a P4, and high provides a really powerful and wide spread beam.
Look no further.

Pros: - Being used to a Mag5D this flashlight is really small while producing a lot more light.
- White light.
- No artifacts.
- When running on high the body gets hot, so good thermal conduction.
- Running on 18650 li-ions; no self-discharge and high capacity.
- I'm guessing it's watertight; single O-ring at the lens and double O-ring at the tailcap. Head is glued to the body.
- Bonus: Pisses off wrong way drivers when mounted as a bicycle light.
Cons: Specifications are incorrect:
- It's not regulated.
- It's not 700 lumens.
Which makes me doubt it being an MCE or an M-bin.
Furthermore:
- Switch sticks out a little, so standing on its tailcap makes it wobble.
- The anti-roll hex ring is too small; it doesn't touch the surface when the flashlight is on its side.
- The mode reset time isn't constant; when cold it takes an agonizing 3-4 seconds, when warm <1 second.
- When running on high for 15 minutes while lying stationary the temperature of the body rises to 50C/122F, which feels uncomfortable and probably won't do the battery or LED any good.
Other Thoughts: Tailcap measurements give me the following currents:
High: 1.40A
Med : 0.40A
Low : 0.03A
Assuming this is an M-bin, the max output would be 490lm. If it's a K-bin it would be 370-430lm.
After running it on high for about an hour with 2400mAh batteries the output looks like medium and medium looks like low.
I don't think the assault crown is sharp at all.
Comes with lanyard.
Bottomline: Don't let the cons scare you off, it's still a awesome flashlight. Buying a non-DX flashlight which does have a regulated M-bin will give you less than twice the amount of light however it will cost you at least three times as much money.
a VERY BRIGHT light & DX saves you a TON of MONEY!

Pros: The MTE M3-2 is a very BRIGHT light that I use when I go camping. It has great spill which is quite useful when its pitch dark and I'm out walking in the woods.
Cons: After a thorough cleaning of the unit and treatment of the contact points and threads with Deoxit: absolutely no cons
Other Thoughts: Initially the unit flickered in all modes or simply wouldn't turn on. A reviewer suggested treating contact points and threads with Deoxit, but after treatment the unit was only slightly more reliable still with flickering issues. I considered returning the M3-2 but decided to take it apart and thoroughly clean it first. I found the problem was rubber cement on the Mylar separator that is positioned between the reflector and the emitter. After removal of the cement the unit functions flawlessly.
Bottomline: Longhorn Tactical sells the MTE M3-2 (with charger & 2x18650s) for $159.00 plus $6.00 USPS Priority Shipping. On DX you get the MTE M3-2, 2x18650s, and a charger for around $55.00 delivered. All in, that's a 66% savings. This is a GREAT light for DINKY dollars. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND the MTE M3-2. THANK YOU Deal Extreme!
Great flashlight.

Pros: Great light.
Well spread shoot
Good construction quality.
Feels perfect on the hand, both weight and size are just right.
Mid mode is very usefull, high mode is perfect.
Cons: Crown seems to be glued on body. That will prevent you fron switching the led, not a big con tho, since I don't intend to do that.
Too many modes, Low, Mid, High and Strobe would be enough. If you get lost thru the modes just turn it off, wait 5 secs and turn it back on, it will start from Mid again.
Sometimes tailcap won't make contact with the battery, just tighten it a bit and it will work.
Other Thoughts:
Bottomline: Delivery took 12 days. I ordered a bike support which wasn't avaliable. DE sent the rest of the items (light, batteries and charger) and sent a card along, explaining the problem with the support. Seems like it's been sent already, still waiting.
The price was just right, now it costs less than I paid. The flashlight met all my expectations, actually I thought 700 lumens would be fair but it is VERY GOOD indeed.
I absolutely recommend this light.
I'm working on a battery pack with 4x 18650, but I need something that allows me to take the batteries off the pack and recharge them on the charger, don't want to charge all batteries on the pack at once. Any tips are more than wellcome.
