Pros: After experimenting a few weeks i ended up with installing it on a wall facing south. After a rainy day it stops working after a couple of hours, but when exposed in direct sunlight it keep going the whole night! (continu mode)When opened it contains 3 rechargeable AA batteries and a controller PCB soaked in resin to resist moisture.Big solar panel compared to other solar lights.
Cons: - hole for leaving the cables is a bit too big: water can easily enter this way.- a lot of wire before LED-string starts (can also be a pro)
Other Thoughts:
Bottomline: I like the possibility of mounting on a wall! No hassle with wires.Till now great value for money!
Pros: -Super bright LEDs-four hour-ish longevity for the built in battery-lots of light storage for night time
Cons: -loose wires on my unit sometimes annoy me-I corrected the problem by taking it apart and making the connections more solid.
Other Thoughts: This is a great thing for college students who have sun-facing windows, as at night time it makes the perfect hangout.
Bottomline: These are perfect for making a romantic scene, and they are great to set the mood. Also, would like another set, for more mood-setting lights, and I have lots of sun during the day, so this could help (eventually) save on power/heat bills.
Pros: -does what it says-lasts a long time off a single GOOD charge-automatically turns itself on and off-has multiple modes
Cons: -takes a lot of sun to charge-instead of going out, it begins to flicker. could be annoying.
Other Thoughts: -multi mode switch is a bit confusing. Just leave it on "MODE" setting to get solid light. -This is really a cool thing to put in my room. I like the Red Green Blue and Yellow-Orange lights, they put on quite a show!
Bottomline: Great addition to any room that faces south! I put them up in my room, and they look GREAT at night!Anyone with a garden, south facing xmas tree window, or a cabin, that kind of thing, but still wants a touch of light... perfect!
