Pros: Fits so snugly on sku.15943 that I'm afraid I'll break the LED if I try to pull it off. No glue required for this LED/optics combination. It also works well on sku.4516, and gives a wider beam, but it won't stay on without glue.
Cons: none so far.
Other Thoughts: I'm using these to build bike lights, and I need the finished project to be tough enough to take the knocks of mountain biking. If you just glued the lens onto an emitter, the lens could give a lot of leverage to break the emitter off its star. To make the whole thing rugged, I encapsulate the whole thing with epoxy.
Bottomline: Great optics, great price, I will buy these again!

Pros: ~ Silly cheap
~ works great, gives a fine beam
Cons: ~ you might need to eat away a small amount of plastic to fit onto the cree xr-e
Other Thoughts: These are some super cheap lenses that generally fit onto the cree xre power leds. They give a nice ~8-10 degree beam with no obvious artifacts. The plastic may need a little eating away to fit onto the led but this is a very easily performed task. And there are 5 in the bag for the price, too. Makes you wonder what is the actual production cost of 10-15$ lenses sold by well known led optics brands. :P
Bottomline: Highly recommended.
Extreme deal indeed

Pros: Ridiculous price. I would have paid this sum for one of them had I known how good they were. Installation is done in a second. You don't even have to glue it ones its snapped on. I put it on a R2 premium star. Beam profile is perfect for bicycling. Unlike many other optics it has some reflective coating on the outside, so very little light is lost. Small enough to fit in many flashligt hosts.
Cons: None what so ever.
Other Thoughts: Beam profile: A very well defined perfectly circular hotspot surrounded by a concentric are with slightly lower intensity. There is a darker CREE-ring outside of this.
It 23.3mm as opposed to a premium star 21mm. I wonder if its possible to squeeze in three of these on a tri-star bike light set-up.
Bottomline: Probably the best deal I've made on DX so far.

Pros: It fits perfectly on the Cree Q5 emitters. The installation cannot be any easier. If you want it to stay on permanently, just add a drop of glue and you are done. The optics is very good too. It produces a nice roughly 10 degree round bright spot with even surrounding.
Cons: It is made of plastic, not glass as shown in the description. So heat could be a concern if you run your emitter hot. The I am not sure what kind of coating they use on the reflector, there is light leaks through the reflector.
Other Thoughts: As the way it is, the optics performs very good. It will be even better if they use better coating on the reflector.
Bottomline: Excellent fit, easy installation, good performance optics, these are very good buy. I'll recommend these and I'll buy again if I need more.
